UN Youth Delegate - UNA USA SDG 5 Global Goals Ambassador - Speaker at the NATO Youth Summit - Aspiring US Foreign Affairs Officer - Women’s Rights Advocate- World Bank Youth Delegate - International Security
It is great to be a youth delegate to the The World Bank Youth Summit I got to represent IN Network: The National Security Academy and American youth 🇺🇸about the importance of digital transformation specializing in digital equity, the prevention of misinformation in the media, and the importance of women’s rights and AI. When it comes to the topic of cyber security, we must put the prevention of misinformation on the media in the priority list. Because nwadays conflict and misunderstandings start because of misinformation and what the youth learn from mainstream media. Also there are people who misuse AI, which sometimes causes diplomatic problems and disunity because of the misinformation people would be getting. When it comes the the prevention of gender based violence and women’s rights, youths from rural places must have access to media in order to gain information about the importance of women’s rights. In order to reach more people, to raise awareness about women’s empowerment and the right to speak up then all people have to have access to social media and media outlets. Because of the lack of resources in rural places, some youths are not able to learn about the importance of feminism and women’s rights. That is why it is essential that we youth advocates must continue to raise awareness about the importance of digital inclusion, women’s rights and the prevention of misinformation. #foreignpolicy #cybersecurity

I'm thrilled to share that the latest instalment of our Tech Policy Design Lab series, the 'Gendered Privacy Evaluation Framework' Workshop 3 at the UN CSW68 was a resounding success! 🌟 In today's workshop, we unveiled and tested a groundbreaking Gendered Privacy Evaluation Framework—a structured methodology designed to assess how digital safety tools address gender-specific privacy concerns and risks. Unlike traditional privacy evaluation frameworks which may focus primarily on technical or legal aspects of privacy protection, our gendered privacy evaluation framework specifically examines how digital products and services impact the privacy and security of individuals based on their gender or experiences. By developing such a framework, we can tailor online safety interventions to better address the specific needs and vulnerabilities of women and other vulnerable populations who are at heightened risk of violence online, ultimately bridging the gender gap in digital privacy protection. This framework will be a great tool to assess digital safety tools and interventions, ensuring they prioritise data privacy especially for individuals vulnerable to online gender-based violence (OGBV). Stay tuned as we prepare to publish our findings. We're dedicated to providing guidance and supporting technologists to create tools that fosters a safer and more inclusive online environment for everyone and also to work hand in hand with civil society and other stakeholder groups to engage with the Framework and advocate for meaningful change. I'm especially grateful to the Women's Right Online Network, the World Wide Web Foundation Foundation, Superbloom, and Social Finance; and to everyone who participated in making the 'Gendered Privacy Evaluation Framework' workshop today a tremendous success. Here's to continued innovation towards reducing digital inequalities and crafting a safer, more secure digital world for women! 💪 #UNCSW68 #GenderedPrivacy #Innovation #WomensRightsOnline

"Among those who answered questions on solutions that could help ensure their safety, about six in 10 (61%) called for education and awareness programs on digital safety, for example through school and university curricula, to provide this literacy." If you agree that education and awareness programs would be helpful, please comment on this post and share your thoughts. What types of programs would you like to see? https://lnkd.in/eiz9KPJ3
