"What are you gonna do?"
The world needs a halftime talk. In 2015, 193 world leaders agreed on the #GlobalGoals, a game plan to change the world by 2030. But today, at halftime, we’re losing - with only 15% of our Goals on track. As leaders gather in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, they should listen to this epic speech from Al Pacino.
Like life, the #GlobalGoals are a game of inches. Ending poverty, reducing inequalities, tackling the climate crisis, empowering women and girls, ensuring clean water and sanitation, building liveable cities… The inches we need are everywhere around us.
We know what we need to do. From improving maternal health and food security, to AI, innovation and global financial reform, we have the solutions we need to achieve these Goals. And when we add up all those inches, that’s gonna make the difference between winning and losing. Between living and dying.
At this critical moment, as we prepare for the second half of the Goals, we need to ask: What are you gonna do? #ImagineWinning Find out more: globalgoals.org/Project Everyone, United Nations, UN SDG Action Campaign#ImagineWinning#GlobalGoals#SDGs#Halftime#Inches
