🌍 Did you know the 3 phases of managing carbon footprint? 🌿 In the fight against #climatechange, over 70 countries are aiming for net-zero emissions. The industry sector is responsible for over 40% of global emissions, so significant change is needed. So how can companies manage their carbon footprint? ✅ Phase 1 - Accounting: Companies accurately measure their carbon footprint by assessing greenhouse gas emissions from operations, conducting comprehensive assessments and using standardised methodologies. Understanding baseline emissions enables effective #carbonmanagement strategies. ✅ Phase 2 - Reducing: The focus shifts to minimising carbon emissions and increasing #energyefficiency. Adopt cleaner practices such as renewable energy, improve operational efficiency, optimise supply chains and invest in green technologies.
