Thank you Dr Ruth Gottesman for reminding us that it is going to be the women of this world that will give direction to the future of the human race for the next chapter. There are a lot of wealthy, fully capable people who have amassed a lot of wealth, but it is a woman who took the bold step to donate $1 billion for health. A professor herself, she knows the importance of education and as a woman has the compassion for fellow humans. Her gift will support medical education of those who will take care of the future US population. Thank you! With the current Alabama ruling, this time in US history is a pivotal moment defining how we treat humans (all of us) and the earth for generations to come. Are we going to give in? Or are we going to do what is right? Do we, as a nation collectively stand for families? Do we stand for women’s health? Do we care for all of our people no matter what their preference or circumstances may be or do we care for only those who hold high office? Do we as a nation want to step into this next chapter as shepherds of all that is best for all of us or are we going to hold back and let others guide the future? Please speak up now or forever hold your truth. Thank you Jessica Bell van der Wal for sharing how to take action: 1. Dr. Ruth Gottesman, the 93-year-old widow of a Wall Street financier, has donated $1 billion to Bronx medical school, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with instructions that the donation will be used to cover tuition for all students going forward. Dr. Gottesman is a former professor at the school. The donation is not only the largest one ever given to the school, but also important because it is going to a medical school in the Bronx, NYC’s poorest borough. The moment the students realize their tuition is paid for is everything 🥺
