It was a great honor to be invited to attend the 2024 NATO Youth Summit as a SAIS delegate and meet so many inspiring social entrepreneurs and aspiring policymakers interested in building a peaceful and prosperous future together. We must not take the security that has underpinned human flourishing in Europe and North America and prevented the outbreak of catastrophic global conflict for granted. That security is built on credible military deterrence, but it is also based around social cohesion and political commitment to solve many of the world's most pressing challenges. We discussed topics ranging from the rise of military AI and smart cities to climate change-amplified conflict and disasters to information fatigue, but the core lesson about facing these challenges was somewhat of a throwback: we need to re-learn the value of community, trustworthy institutions, and solidarity with our fellow citizens. If we come together with compatriots at home and abroad who share our love for well-ordered liberty and peace, no challenges will be beyond our ability to resolve. Let's center that lesson in our work on technology policy, good governance, international security, and economic statecraft going forward.

ROTC students, active-duty service members, guard/reserve, or veteran: tune in to this *tomorrow* (June 12) if you've ever considered a career broadening opportunity such as Fulbright. Sara Sajer, Benjamin Rich, and Jimmy Anderson all came to the program from different paths at different stages of their military careers and they're all ~~wonderful people~~. Bottom line: Fulbright is for you if you think it is, and there's countless ways to do the program in conjunction with your timeline inside and outside of the military.

In partnership with the History Department of the University of Kent, The Western Front Association has funded and developed a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). Designed to be short and introductory but offer some of the latest insights, The Imperial Forces on the Western Front: A Comprehensive Study explores the involvement and impact of Imperial forces in key Western Front battles during the First World War. The course covers the Australian, Canadian, Indian, New Zealand, and South African experience of warfare on the Western Front.
