As a Checkoff, we’re investing in modern curriculum and workforce development programs to prepare the next generation of concrete masons and machine operators.    February is Career & Technical Education Month, and the National Association of Home Builders has some great recommendations for attracting young people to these rewarding trades. Project Milestone Achieved! 🌟 I am thrilled to announce the successful completion of my 6-week project with Chaplet International, where I worked on enhancing the sustainability of the electropolishing process. As a chemical engineer, this project was both challenging and rewarding, and I'm proud to share that I achieved all our goals: 🔹 Environmentally Friendly Method: Developed a sustainable approach to electropolishing. 🔹 Circular Economy: Implemented a circular economy strategy to optimize resource use. 🔹 Waste Reduction: Designed a process that reduces waste and neutralizes it into less harmful forms. 🔹 Profit: Achieved an impressive 94% profit margin. The method we developed not only minimizes waste but also produces valuable by-products and ensures safer disposal of residual materials. Let’s Build it Tuesday! Have you noticed the large crane at the SAGE Center recently? Girders are being set in place for the new expansion! This expansion project at the SAGE Center is adding 15,150 square feet of much-needed convention space for our region. The project is paid for in part by State funding to support cultural arts and workforce training events. Summer has arrived and newbies are joining your projects. Go back in time and recall your first days in construction. The jobsite looks and sounds chaotic. The jargon used on site sounds like a foreign language. Here is a recent quote from a young field engineer - "As a novice in the industry, I felt an overall uncertainty about all the details.
