Conformal geometries will be the next big thing in the additive tech
When digital CAD designs become a physical reality! We’ll never tire of seeing the side by side comparison of our AM software’s print simulation alongside the actual printing system. We collaborated with WEBER additive to showcase the power of robotic 3D printing in conformal builds. Conformal printing is perfect for a multitude of design challenges including repair application through to mind-bending designs on double-curved surfaces. In this example, we produced a lightweight, slim, aerostructure with Weber hardware using Airtech Advanced Materials Group material, all controlled by Ai Build software. Part weight, cost and post processing time all reduced with robotic LFAM system. Form 4 unveiled! This is what I have been working for the past 3 years as a lead electrical engineer with an incredibly passionate team, who have given all their blood, sweat, and tears to bring this to market. Can’t wait to see this in users’ hands, setting a new standard for speed and reliability of 3D printing. Form 4 development has been entertaining to me because it is full of interesting electrical features: Nearly 400W distributed to enable blazing fast prints, the new camera system for remote print monitoring (and cool timelapse videos!), Raspberry Pi as a new workhorse to fulfill increased computational needs, and lots of little sensors that contribute to print success. And of course the beautifully integrated Backlight Unit and the Light Processing Unit for accurately generating and delivering photons to the print plane. One of the best parts of my job is meeting some of the amazing designers and engineers building incredible products using our software. Photocentric are truly innovative British company building cutting edge 3D printers founded on their expertise in photopolymers. The machines they make are designed to shake up the additive manufacturing industry by moving it from a prototyping technology into mass manufacturing through printers like the Nano, which is the fastest LCD 3D printer in the world. Watch this video to learn more about how they build their machines from start to finish in Fusion

Additive manufacturing has opened up a world of possibilities for VerdeTerra, allowing for rapid prototyping, intricate mold development, and, ultimately, the realization of products that were once mere concepts. As the technology evolves and costs decrease, I envision a future dominated by micro-manufacturing operations. Imagine small businesses equipped with a single machine capable of crafting anything from metal, plastic, electronics, and even concrete – a future where creating complex end-use products is as simple as walking in with a product license and watching your purchase come to life. Imagine the impact that could have on logistic carbon emissions. Currently, I'm fine-tuning our Ender5 and Bambu machines for prototype testing and mold development for our next big release. It has certainly been a learning process with these machines. How do you see additive manufacturing impacting your industry or creativity? Let's discuss the future of creation. #AdditiveManufacturing #3DPrinting #Innovation #VerdeTerra
🧪 Peek into our lab! Our team is hard at work, fine-tuning the technology that will transform the quality of life indoors. Of the many tools we use, our 3D printers rack up the most hours. This is one of our early prototype components getting printed. Follow us, and Stay tuned for updates on our journey to cleaner air. #InnovationInProgress #3DPrinting #RapidPrototyping #VerdeTerra

Say goodbye to support structures. Complex and branching parts can often require support structures to be built around them to ensure they don't collapse or fail during the build process. Removing these surplus support structures is a drain on engineers' time and ultimately a waste of material - these are amplified with large format 3D printing. We recognised this challenge and looked to develop a solution. With the segmented printing capability in Aibuild software, parts like this one - standing over half a metre tall - can be fully built without any support structures. Each layer is printed with precise speed and temperature control, ensuring it sets before the next one is deposited. The result? No collapsing, no sagging, no distortion - just parts built how they were designed, with zero waste. How can segmented printing help manufacture your parts? #additivemanufacturing #3dprinting #software #robotics #lfam #aerospace #automotive #construction #ai #segmented #supportfree #complex #geometry #pipe
