Bridging dog advocacy and brand marketing through story-driven dog photography.

Has your pet ever gotten lost? 1 in 3 pets do, at some point in their lives. Imagine the heart-wrenching worry that comes with losing your furry friend. Now imagine a tool that can help reunite you with your lost pet in moments. Enter Petco Love Lost, a groundbreaking platform harnessing the power of AI and facial recognition technology to bring pets and their families back together. Petco Love, formerly known as Petco Foundation, is collaborating with around 1,000 shelters and rescues across the U.S. to implement this incredible technology. By uploading a photo of your missing pet, the system scans an extensive database to find matches, offering initial results in less than a minute. This is not just tech for tech's sake; it's a real, tangible solution that eases the agony of a lost pet and accelerates happy reunions. The scope and accuracy will only improve as Petco Love continues to enhance its search algorithms and fine-tune this AI technology. This will lead to more partners, more pets, and more happy reunions. It's an inspiring synergy of technology and compassion, creating a safety net for our beloved animals. AI is a powerful tool, but it's our collective love for animals that fuels these advancements. Any tool is only as useful as the intent it’s being used for. I urge everyone with a pet to upload their photo to Petco Love In the unthinkable case that your pet is goes missing having their photo already in Petco's database greatly increases your chance of recovering your beloved pet. For shelters and rescue organizations, being part of Petco Love helps you reunite dogs with their families and lessens the intake burden of your shelter. Please sign up your organization ASAP with Petco Love Lost. Our cat Max got out the week after we moved to our new home in a new state! He was gone for more than a year and a half. A woman noticed a new barn cat coughing and she brought him into the emergency vet. They scanned his microchip and it was Max!! He had travelled more than 7 miles away! He’s back home and very happy! ❤️🐾👍

It's a much needed step. So many owners and pets to benefit. Great news!

I love this. Where do you go to load a picture of your pet or do you just do it when it gets lost?

Fighting for radical legislative change to ban large scale puppy farming in the UK. Councils are licensing cruelty, failing dogs and fooling the public. The dog breeding act law is being broken daily. Stop the Abuse now

It’s a great idea but the only real answer is a global centralised dna database. Many people don’t have access to the internet let alone understand AI

This is such a great idea! Breeds are often mislabeled, so if a person looking for a black and white chihuahua mix hear a recording about a black and white rat terrier, they may not realize it's the same pet. Facial recognition could really help in finding their baby.

I don't think we have a similar platform in the UK but I appeal to the powers that be to make mandatory microchipping legal evidence of ownership, not simply an address exercise.
