I was very happy to hear about the return of NOBLE's Offshore operations in Brazil. I owe a lot of my professional development in the area of Occupational Safety to this great Company. I participated in numerous operations that left a legacy demonstrating that this company has significant know-how in the oil sector. Having worked in the years 1999, 2000, 2003 and 2004, I had the opportunity to participate in challenging operations, which was the Rescue of a BOP on the NS-18, our beloved Muravlenko, Docking in Salvador BA with the Roger Eason NS-15 and Leo Segerius NS-17, in the latter I had a very big experience that marked my life, having to stop an operation for the safety of everyone involved. The company demonstrated that Health, Safety and Environment is a non-negotiable value, in other words, a Paradigm. Lastly, I did a quick stint on the SS-53 Noble Paul Wolff, which was a different experience as I had worked more on drill ships. I cannot fail to record here names that contributed to my development such as: Don Hanks, Saudoso Boby Douglas, the doctor Dr. Kin, the Soviet Andrew, the Brazilians Rossine Venturelli and Clis Fonseca, the Australian Mike Leatle Jonh, among other names as I have already almost three decades have passed. East Star Resources Plc (LSE:EST) CEO Alex Walker speaks to Proactive after the #Kazakhstan focused #gold, #copper and #RareEarths explorer released an update on the assays from drilling at the Verkhuba Deposit on the Rudny Altai VMS belt. Walker expressed satisfaction with the ongoing program, noting the need to re-assay 62 samples that exceeded the detection limit. The preliminary indications confirm the expected copper and #zinc #mineralization and showcase a promising correlation between mineralised zones and historical data. While awaiting final results, Walker highlights notable intersections, such as 10m above 1% copper and just under 8g/t of #silver. This aligns well with historical results, raising optimism for the project's potential. With upcoming assays from areas outside Verkhuba and recent fundraising of £540,000, Walker says #EastStarResources is well-funded for current and future programs. Walker anticipates significant advancements in their projects before the need for additional capital. The CEO also touched on the timeline for the JORC resource results, saying that the company is "significantly closer than we were previously." IFF Backs Future Drillers at Drill Down Conference The Inspiring Futures Foundation (IFF) had the privilege of supporting six  outstanding industry drillers from the New Zealand Drillers Federation to attend the 2023 NZDF Drill Down Conference in Auckland. Our grant provided these trainee drillers with flights, accommodation, transfers, and registration to the conference. Iain Haycock, Chief Executive of McMillan Drilling and a Trustee of IFF, highlighted the invaluable experiences the drillers gained during the event. “Drillers had the opportunity to see the latest drilling technology, listen to keynote speakers, and mix with industry practitioners, including experienced life members. “After meeting the drillers at the event, it was clear they were well-deserving candidates and thankful for the support given to attend. It was great to see because this is what the Inspiring Futures Fund was intended for!” Johannes Venter, one of the drillers from Drillforce NZ Ltd, said it was a great learning experience. “I appreciated the opportunity to hear advice from successful people in the drilling industry and learn about their vision for the drilling sector’s future. “We got to work with people that have the same technical mindset as us, and achieved good results.
It was great engaging with the suppliers at the trade stands too and seeing new ideas and technology, making jobs faster and easier. “Going forward, I want to do some things differently - I want to set high standards in the workplace and encourage new people in the industry to keep learning to improve their skills.
