For 25 years Minerva has worked to advance economic and leadership opportunities for women and girls in BC. Our organization was created by a community of women who know what it is like to embark on a career journey where they might be the first, the only – and sometimes the token woman at the leadership table. These founders learned to navigate a workplace that wasn’t built for them and were successful despite the visible and invisible barriers they faced along their way. With over two decades of experience working alongside women across British Columbia, Minerva has helped expand the leadership skills of women and girls through education, mentorship, training, and advocacy delivered through a gender lens. We do this because we believe that leadership diversity breeds innovation, brings cohesion, and creates more inclusive workplaces. Fast forward to today, and we know there is still work to be done to reshape the journey to leadership. Our potential is greater when each of our leadership journeys, whether bumpy, curved, or paved, is unobstructed. Together, let’s create a path to leadership that is without gender, without bias, and without limits. 🔗 https://minervabc.ca/

For 25 years Minerva has worked to advance economic and leadership opportunities for women and girls in BC. Ensuring women are getting the critical skills, experiences, and feedback they need to progress is core to any gender equity strategy. Women generally get less training, and more personal – and less actionable – feedback than men. Investing in women’s education and leadership development positively impacts communities at a local, national, and global level. How does your organization support and develop women leaders? Do you have plans to develop your leadership skills this year? 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gKpuYgQi
