Engineering a long-lasting abrasive we wanted it to be clog-resistant. So how do you stop clogging and dust when sanding? Let's start at the beginning: - Why is it important to avoid clogging when sanding? Clogging saturates the abrasive with material, reducing its efficiency and lifespan. Using clog-resistant or easily cleaned abrasives extends their use, saving money. - How can I make my sandpaper last longer? The lifespan of sandpaper depends on the material being sanded, user care, and abrasive quality. Handle abrasives and tools carefully. Mirka Galaxy abrasives feature excellent edge wear, a dust-repelling coating, and ceramic grains that form new edges, extending their life. - What is the benefit of dust repellence? Controlling dust improves sanding results and health. Dust-repelling abrasives allow easier dust extraction, minimizing negative effects on sanding and health. #Sandblasting #abrasive is a method of grinding, removing dirt, or surface treatment by spraying abrasive particles onto the surface of a workpiece through high-pressure airflow. The following are some common types of sandblasting abrasives: #Garnetsand: One of the common sandblasting abrasives used for surface treatment of metals and other materials, with good cleaning effects and surface quality. #Steelshot: used for surface treatment of harder metals, such as cast iron, steel plates, etc., to remove surface oxide scale and impurities. #Glassbeads: suitable for material treatment that requires surface smoothness and precision, and can be used for matte or brightening surfaces. #Aluminumoxide: widely used for cleaning surfaces, improving surface quality, and increasing adhesion, can be used in various metal and non-metal materials. These are common types of sandblasting abrasives, and different types of sandblasting abrasives are suitable for different workpiece materials and processing requirements. Choosing the appropriate abrasive can effectively improve the efficiency and quality of sandblasting treatment. What abrasives do we suggest? We recommend garnet abrasive. It’s a naturally occurring mineral that is sorted by size. Most of our customers use an 80-mesh abrasive. However, there are finer abrasives available. The finer abrasives are more common in the glass industry but can be used by anyone who would prefer a smoother cut. #flowwaterjet #waterjetcutting #garnetabrasive

When to use Abrasive Belts made from Ceramic Grains? Ceramics is a special material that cannot be used in every case. It is not always the best choice because for working with ceramics, you need the maximum number of rotations and maximum pressure. That's why Ceramics is used for tasks when a large stock removal is needed. If you are not sure ceramic is the right choice for you send us an email or write your questions in the comments and our experts will advise you on the optimal solution for you! #SandingBelts #Abrasives #AbrasiveBelts #GrindingBelts

How do you prevent veneer bleed through? Veneer specialists often face issues with adhesive bleed through during the veneering process. Ureka recommends using a high viscosity adhesive to prevent seepage into the veneer. Adhesives like PVA are often used for veneering, but they still allow penetration of the adhesive through the grain of the veneer due to their low viscosity. Ureka suggests two UF adhesive systems. - Three component UF system (resin, powder hardener, and filler extender), such as Woodstikk UF Fast or slow curing systems with Woodstikk UF Filler extender, suitable for hot or cold presses with adjustable filler amounts. - A two-component UF system (resin and pre-mixed filled powder hardener) like the Woodstikk UF Hot Press system, ideal for hot presses with and all-day pot life.
