Meeting up ex-comrade cum friend post lunar new year, hence we opted for Malay cuisine for a different palates, in Malaysia we are spoilt for #choice. Though I may prefer Bijan Bar & Restaurant Malay fine cuisine but De Wan 1958 by Chef Wan changed my perception the moment I walk in the restaurant at The Linc KL, the warm welcome and attentiveness from the waiters & waitresses certainly made my day! The ambience is cozy, food is delish, over all dining experience is elevated by its warm customer experience. 𝐎𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢 is commonly used to describe Japan in travel websites, but what does it truly mean? One only needs to spend a day in Japan to feel the impact of this word. The phrase comes from two words '𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘦 表' meaning 'outside appearance', and '𝘯𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪 無し' meaning 'without'. Putting the two together, omotenashi is the act of honest service, right from the heart.
