HEAVYWEIGHTS. “Many large-mass isotopes are of interest to our society. The mercury found in thermometers and barometers; the lead found in weights and batteries; and 238U, the main fuel in reactors, all spring to mind. Oganesson, the heaviest element in the periodic table, has Z = 118 and a lifetime of less than a millisecond.” (Z= nuclear charge number or atomic number). https://lnkd.in/d8waBZyB

"ITER (initially the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, iter meaning "the way" or "the path" in Latin[2][3][4]) is an international nuclear fusion research and engineering megaproject aimed at creating energy through a fusion process similar to that of the Sun. Upon completion of construction of the main reactor and first plasma, planned for late 2025,[5] it will be the world's largest magnetic confinement plasma physics experiment and the largest experimental tokamak nuclear fusion reactor."
Video. Inside the world's first reactor that could produce unlimited energy
