I’ve been thinking a lot about how much we hold ourselves back sometimes. These three simple truths hit me hard recently: 1️⃣ If you don’t go after what you want, you won’t get it. 2️⃣ If you don’t ask, the answer will always be no. 3️⃣ If you don’t step forward, you’ll stay in the same place. It’s crazy how often we overthink, doubt ourselves, or just wait for the “right time.” But the truth is, the right time doesn’t show up ... we have to create it. This is a reminder for myself ⏱️ (and anyone who needs it) to stop hesitating and start moving. What’s one thing you’ve been putting off that you really want? How much of your day is consumed  by negative thoughts? We all carry a negativity bias due to evolutionary roots.   A person has on average between 6,000 to 70,000  thoughts per day.  The wide range is due to different methodologies  to measure & variability between individuals. In what seems like a crazy world, I’d like to challenge you. For the next week there will be no complaining.   No worrying.   No judgement.   No jealousy.   And no self-defeating thoughts. This means you will be optimistic.  See the good in anything.   And be a positive influence in other people’s lives. Conquering Imposture Syndrome: A Journey of Reflection and Growth As we face new challenges, it’s easy to fall into the trap of imposture syndrome, especially when stepping into unfamiliar territory. I’ve seen this firsthand while teaching, coaching, and mentoring Lean Black Belts. Many times, these incredible professionals questioned their skills, despite their impressive progress from introductory to advanced levels in Lean methodology. Now, as I navigate my career transition, I find myself reflecting on these experiences and the valuable lessons learned. It’s time for me to practice what I preach and apply those principles to my job search. A month into exploring my next career step, I’m taking a moment to look back on some of the strategic projects where I led teams and made a significant impact. Today, I’m reflecting on: *The challenges we tackled and the solutions we implemented. *The context and complexities we managed. *The goals we set and the strategies we employed. *The success we achieved and the positive changes we created. This journey has not only been about the projects but also about the people I’ve had the privilege to mentor and guide. Seeing them grow, flourish, and spread their wings has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. Those who know me, know I thrive when I see others excel and flourish. I invite those who feel comfortable to share your strategies for overcoming imposture syndrome. Tuesday Talk... I hope you're all doing well. Today, I want to chat about something that's been on my mind lately: those tough times when things just don't seem to go our way. We've all been there, right? When the going gets tough, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. But here's the thing—those challenging moments are exactly when we need to dig deep and keep pushing forward. Every situation may not be ideal. We might face unexpected obstacles or setbacks, but it's crucial to make the best of whatever we face. It's like being handed lemons and deciding to make the best lemonade you possibly can. What's more, these tough times are often our greatest teachers. They force us to think creatively, adapt, and grow. When we embrace the challenges, we don't just survive—we thrive. We learn lessons that we wouldn't have learned otherwise, and those lessons make us stronger and better prepared for the future. So, keep looking ahead, no matter how tough things get.
