September is National Self Care Awareness month, and with the change in seasons bringing a renewed energy, here are some ways to practice self care this Autumn: 1) Express your creativity with pumpkins. From jack-o-lanterns to pumpkin pies, take advantage of the season to exercise your imagination 2) As the weather turns chilly, embrace that warm, cozy feeling in your life. Whether it's curling up in your favorite fuzzy slippers and pajamas, or enjoying a hot apple cider, find time to seek and enjoy comfort and relaxation 3) Make time to enjoy the seasonal changes. Autumn's changing colors and typical cool weather make for a great opportunity to explore outside. Find a short hiking trail or park nearby to observe the leaves changing, or visit a local garden center to bring some seasonal plants to your home or workspace #MIWRadio #MentoringInspiringWomen

Slow down, it’s summer! Summer flying by? Here’s how to slow it down! ☀️ 🌿 Embrace a slower pace: Even a brief pause in your day can provide you with both mental and physical health benefits. Choose an activity such as an outdoor walk or meal to slow down and enjoy it in a more mindful way. 🌿 Let nature nurture you: Take advantage of the longer days to build in time outdoors for a walk, run, bike ride, swim, gardening, or other outdoor activity. Your body and mind will both benefit. 🌿 Try something new: Add something new to your summer repertoire this year. Avoid the trap of ‘if it’s summer, it’s time for the X’ habit. 🌿 Savor the simple: Sunrise. Sunset. Time with friends and family. A good book. Summer blooms. Other summer pleasures. As Sir Arthur Conan Doyle said, "The little things are infinitely the most important." At summer’s end, it's always the little things that make it memorable. So, slow down and savor the small, beautiful, and simple things that spell summer for you. What are your favorite ways to slow down in summer? Share in the comments. #SummerVibes #Whatinspiresme #Wellness #SlowDown

Productivity Consultant, Author, Speaker - I help multi-passionate business owners + execs clarify priorities to make every minute matter.
Spring slipped into the northern hemisphere at 11:06pm EDT on Tuesday, and, if your neck of the woods is anything like here in Raleigh, you can feel the pollen around you… The season of spring has sprung, but what does that mean for your productivity?!? Like many animals, humans have a tendency to slumber and hibernate amidst the effects of winter, and spring becomes the time for awakening, which leads to change, growth and fresh starts. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴; 𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲’𝘀 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆. Consider which of these activities will help you embrace spring this weekend: 🌷 Ride your bike. 🌷 Plant your own garden. 🌷 Have a picnic. 🌷 Do some outdoor yoga. 🌷 Go for a hike. 🌷 Find the sunlight first-thing. 🌷 Reconnect to what you loved as a kid. 🌷 Add a plant to your home. 🌷 Transition your closet to spring. 🌷 Buy yourself some flowers. 🌷 Designate a tech-free space at home. 🌷 Verify your passport is up-to-date. 🌷 Use positive self talk via affirmations. 🌷 Make a mood-boosting playlist. The word “spring” can conjure up images of greenery, freshness, new beginnings and overall hope. There’s increased warmth, sunshine as well as some of my favorite fresh fruits and vegetables. What’ll be your top #productivity priorities amidst this energizing season? #PersonalizedProductivity #GetOrganized #OrganizeForSuccess #WomenMeanBusiness #MakeEveryMinuteMatter #NAWBO #WorkLifeIntegration #spring #inspiration #CoverMeInSunshine

🌷 So what EXACTLY is it about spring that makes us feel so good?🌿 As we get into the full swing of spring (despite the ongoing rain which seems to be trying its utmost to dampen our spirits), I feel a shift happen in both my mood and productivity. Here's my take on why we just can't help but feel happier as the season changes... 1. Sunshine Serotonin: The increased sunlight boosts our serotonin, enhancing our mood and energy levels. 2. Nature’s Symphony: Vibrant colours, bird songs, and earthy scents awaken our senses, reducing stress and fostering tranquillity. 3. Outdoor Oasis: Mild temperatures entice us outdoors, refreshing our body and mind. 4. Season of Growth: Like nature, we experience personal growth, setting goals and embracing new beginnings. 5. Community Connection: Spring fosters social bonds through festivals, gardening projects, and gatherings, enriching our lives. In essence, spring is more than a season for us – it’s a mood-lifting, productivity-enhancing force and we should embrace its energy and seize its opportunities! How do you make the most of the springtime? Share your thoughts! #SpringMood #ProductivityBoost #NatureInspired

How to stay safe in hot Alabama summer weather ☀️ Don't let a heat wave put a damper on your summer fun! With a few simple precautions, you can ensure everyone stays safe in hot weather. ✔️ Keep your body cool. Take cool showers or mist yourself with a spray bottle during the hottest parts of the day. Remember, fans only circulate hot air and won't lower your body temperature. Stay hydrated. ✔️ Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if you're enjoying an alcoholic beverage. If you're sweating a lot, replenish lost electrolytes with salty snacks or a sports drink. ✔️ Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing Light-colored clothes reflect most of the sun's rays, keeping you cooler. Loose-fitting garments allow for better airflow and sweat evaporation. ✔️ Find shade to protect your skin While shaded areas might feel cooler, it's only because your skin isn't absorbing direct solar radiation. The air temperature is actually the same whether you're in the sun or shade. So wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face and find some shade to give your skin a break from the sun's intense rays. ✔️ Avoid high-energy activities Take it easy during peak heat hours. Save strenuous activities for cooler parts of the day. ✔️ Help your pets stay cool too! Heat affects pets just as much as humans, and they can’t sweat to cool down. Ensure they have plenty of cool water and access to shade. Plan outdoor activities near water so they can drink and splash around to cool off. Be cautious of hot surfaces like asphalt and dark pavement that can burn your pet's paws – opt for grassy areas or invest in protective booties if you need to walk on hot surfaces. Let's stay safe and make the most of this beautiful Cullman, Alabama summer at Cullman Campground!

Dry Saeasons Dry seasons come and go. In some areas of the world the dry season is the winter months and the earth is waiting for the wash of spring rains. So, looking at how nature works through a dry season can give us clues on how to manage it for ourselves. The leaves on the trees have not yet returned, for deep down in the soil the roots are preparing for that burst of energy. For those of us going through our own dry season it can be a time to refocus on our purpose and prepare for new growth. It might also be a time to reorder our priorities. Taking the advice of Anne Morrow Lindbergh, carve out a small part of your day to set your priorities, with “Quiet time alone, contemplation, prayer, music, a centering line of thought or reading, of study or work. It can be physical or intellectual or artistic, any creative life proceeding from oneself. . . What matters is that one be for a time inwardly attentive.” You may want to create a “sacred space” that will inspire you. It can be a tabletop, a bedside table, or a corner of your kitchen. Gather together items that have special meaning for you – pictures, candles, flowers, memorabilia. My space has several honu/turtle figurines along with a tray of pebbles I have collected from special beaches. Whatever you choose, it should represent something you love. Now you have a place to wait out the dry season and find the inspiration you need for the coming burst of energy and inspiration. You have a place to find yourself. “Sometime in your life you will go on a journey. It will be the longest journey you have ever taken. It is the journey to find yourself.” ~ Katherine Sharp #dryseasons #livealohalivewell #underafullmoonandaguidingstar #activatedlife #healthandwellness #alakaiassociates

Sun Protection: A Must for Work and Play! Whether you're gearing up for a productive workday outdoors or planning a relaxing weekend in the sunshine, one thing remains constant – the need for sunscreen. Remember to apply your sunscreen at least 30 minutes before stepping outside to give it time to work its magic. Don't forget those easy-to-miss spots like your ears, neck, scalp, feet, and behind the knees. And here's the key: re-apply every two hours, and straight after a swim or if you've been working up a sweat. Stay protected and enjoy your summer! #SunSafety #OutdoorWork

3 Things That Can Boost Your Vibe 😎 (Miss At Your Own Risk) --) SUNSHINE 🌞 Don't stay awake the entire night and screw up your mornings. Your body needs that daily dose of daylight. It doesn't want to spend the majority of its time in the dark. It needs sunlight to generate positive thoughts. Respect that algorithm! And you get sooooooo much more time in the morning as if 'time' itself is slowly waking up from its slumber. So, wake up early and let that sun fall on you right from dawn! --) GARDENING 👨🌾 When you watch your efforts gradually foster a new life, your life fosters unimaginable happiness. Plant a sapling today and take care of it. Trust me, you will observe more changes within your own self than in the plant. You will turn more patient, more mature, and more restful. And and and...those greenies will not only enhance your vibe, but the vibe of your house will become soothing too :) --) WATCH ❌️, READ ✅️ We leave our brains on autopilot mode when we keep binge-watching those episodes. But it is crucial to let your mind absorb whatever you consume. And the best way to do that? Read! But what about the vibe, right? It's so boring to read. But understand this... When you watch, you look at a world and form a perception. But when you read, you look at a perception and then form a world. One that is completely yours. With Your Fantasies. Your Moments. Your Memories. Words are no less than music when written in a rhythm. So, vibe with every word ;) ---- Follow me for more such insights. I will be helpful :) #Vibe #Happiness #Sunshine #Gardening #Read
