What happens when 3/4 of your business is done in just 1/4 of the year? High season doesn't leave a lot of time for LinkedIn posting, but a brief post on seasonality is just too fitting. First word that comes to mind: BUSY! #CustomerService There's extra pressure to keep up quick & excellent customer service, especially when clients are heading off to vacation within a few days of placing their order. #InfluencerMarketing Same goes for influencer partnerships that may fall into place with a few days notice, and a need to get all the right styles to them before the plane leaves just 2 days later. #Design #SS25 On top of it all, this is also when you are designing & testing the collection for 2025. Phew... But how about the other 9 months then? This is when you use *everything* you have learnt during the high season to get ready for next year. What went right? What went wrong? What's missing? What can be even better? What's the craziest aspirational goal for next year, and how can it be reached? In many ways the high season is much more fun & exciting, but this is only possible if you've put in the work during the low season. Is this a secret life lesson? 🤔

It's almost March! Leveraging holidays (local or national) and cultural moments in your marketing, even quirky, unconventional ones, enriches how audiences interact with your brand narrative. These special occasions populate the annually recurring content calendar with familiar punch while driving home personalized brand associations through ritual and nostalgia. Beyond major holidays like Christmas or Halloween, more niche moments — like National Donut Day or Video Game Day — relate your products to small delights that enhance daily life rather than intimidating customers with aggressive sales pitches. Plus, the implicit fun lowers barriers to engagement. Even a corporate bank marking “Look Alike Day” shows relatability. Witty, surprising callbacks to entertaining moments allow for lighter yet memorable messaging. Audiences follow, share and reshare businesses creatively chiming in on trends more readily as they weave brands organically into moments scrolling through feeds. Gaining that visibility through intriguing interjections, especially with an emphasis on local community events, is invaluable for long-term growth. #businessmarketing #businessmarketingtips #marketingtips #digitalmarketingtips #smallbusinessmarketing #smallbusinessmarketingtips #localbusinessmarketing #localbusiness #marketing101 #holidaymarketing #february #februaryholidays

Remember the thrill of pulling a holographic Charizard from a pack of Pokémon cards? Or the joy of sharing a Furbys with your friends? Brands are taking a page out of your childhood playbook using “nostalgia marketing”, a strategy that's raking in big bucks. According to a recent AdRoll study, over half of consumers seek comfort in familiar things from their youth. 𝐍𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 capitalizes on this, triggering positive emotions by using elements from bygone eras to forge a connection with target audiences. 𝐒𝐨, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? Think of it as comfort food for the mind. Brands evoke a sense of familiarity through classical music, iconic characters, or even product packaging redesigns. This taps into a desire for simpler times, fostering a warm feeling towards the brand and potentially influencing purchasing decisions. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬? It is understanding what makes your audience tick. A campaign that resonates with millennials might feature retro video game references, while Gen Xers might respond better to classic sitcom snippets. Done right. Nostalgia marketing creates a powerful emotional bond, reminding consumers of happy memories and subtly positioning the brand as a trusted companion. So, the next time you see a commercial that makes you yearn for your childhood bedroom, remember, that it's probably a brand cleverly using nostalgia to win you over. #nostalgiamarketing #emotionalconnection #contentmarketing #brandstrategy #childhoodmemories

Happy New Year! ☀️ Charna, are you OK? Yes, I do know it is the first of July. I’ve never really subscribed to the notion of the new year beginning in the midst of winter, especially with the fact that it is cold, grey and nothing grows! I prefer using the summer as a time to reflect, refresh or renew. With the hints of warmer weather and sprinkles of sunshine now is the optimal time to be more intentional and strategic about your marketing strategy and personal brand. As we kick off a new month and the second half of the year what are your priorities and focuses? 🤔 Want to improve engagement with your clients or consumers? 🤔 Need to develop a marketing strategy to reach new audiences? 🤔 Revise your existing content strategy? 🤔 Want support on building your personal brand online and offline? I got you! Drop me a message and let's chat about how we can make this half of the year, your best half. 💼💡 #marketing #personalbranding #h2 #marketingstrategy #customerengagement #branding #blueskythinking #creativity

Attention is earned not bought. I mean yes, you can pay for the chance to be attended to. You can be where people are. But that doesn't mean you are attended to. That you have to earn! I was reflecting on this a lot this week and couldn't help but have an image of a child covering their ears, refusing to listen ... lah lah lah .. in my mind. I bet a lot of us have been there! How do you get them to listen or attend to you? - Surprise them and play on a different emotion - if they are angry, you can surprise them with calm - Make them feel seen and heard - Make them feel understood before you 'teach' - Distract! - Make them laugh or smile What about ads then? How do you earn that attention there ... after all, we're not all quite 3 year olds covering our ears ..... 😂 - Understand people. Your people - Understand culture - Understand how people think & feel - Understand their needs - Marry this to connected truths about your brand or category - And then craft a wonderful story to bring this to life in a distinctive, resonant way And the best way to do that? Get closer to your consumer. Let everyone in your business be closer to your consumers. Make consumer insights the heart of your business. #consumerinsights #marketingandadvertising #marketresearch #insightsplatform #advertising #creativeadvertising #effectiveadvertising #effectivecommunication

For those of you who appreciate a great spot that can rationalize performance with an emotional argument, and for those who appreciate that I invest most of my afternoons carpooling grandkids, sometimes at the expense of working Saturdays and Sundays... This is the aspirational ROI - #creativity #branding #brandbuilding #creativeadvertising #bestads
