Data enrichment is one essential missed opportunity in your product analytics setup. Here is a typical example - you roll out a new feature with the first event data tracking (yes, this happens). You start to analyze the new feature performance and get some excellent initial insights. But then a PM asks a great follow-up question, but to answer it, the right property value is missing. Well, you could go through the usual development pipeline. But we all know how long this can take—all the excitement of the first insights is long gone. However, some data engineers have an alternative. The property has already been pulled into the data warehouse from the application database. It can be easily combined with the object ID, a property in your product analytics setup. In Mixpanel, you can sync this data from your data warehouse using the lookup table sync. In this video, I walk you through different examples of how you can enrich your data set. I will also show you how you can use the latest hot feature that Mixpanel has released: Borrowed property - with this feature, you need a property present for one event and use it across all other events (I would love to have this years ago). https://lnkd.in/dficzeyE
