In 2019, I penned the article "How a Lack of Dispensary Attendant Training Puts Patients at Risk, " posted on the CannabizMD website (see link below). Maryland state leadership is a shining example of recognizing the impact of cannabis industry workforce training. I'm proud that CannaWorkforce Inc., a CannabizMD partner, is the first grant recipient for cannabis industry workforce training. The Maryland Department of Labor is the first U.S. state agency to deliver grants that recognize the critical need for cannabis workforce development, particularly for the communities most impacted by the War on Drugs and those without access to traditional education to enter and advance in the cannabis industry. Workforce development is particularly necessary for nascent cananbis industries across the globe in organizational development and business strategy, delivering: 🌿 Increased Productivity and Efficiency: Well-trained employees complete tasks faster and more accurately, boosting overall output and resource utilization. 🌿 Enhanced Quality of Work: Trained workers consistently produce higher-quality results, improving customer satisfaction and brand reputation. 🌿 Innovation and Adaptability: Training fosters a culture of continuous learning, helping companies stay competitive and adapt to market changes. 🌿 Reduced Turnover: Turnover is high in the cannabis industry since wages are relatively low. Employees who receive training feel more valued, leading to higher job satisfaction and retention rates. 🌿 Improved Safety: Proper training reduces workplace accidents and injuries, lowering insurance costs and legal risks. 🌿 Standardization of Processes: Training establishes consistent procedures across the organization, ensuring more predictable outcomes and easier quality control. Each cannbis business has its SOPs, which must often be outlined in license applications. 🌿 Regulatory Compliance: Training ensures companies meet mandatory industry requirements, avoiding fines and legal issues related to non-compliance. 🌿 Leadership Development: Training programs can identify and nurture future leaders, supporting succession planning and long-term organizational stability. 🌿 Competitive Advantage: A highly skilled workforce differentiates a company from its competitors, allowing it to implement more advanced strategies and technologies. If you're looking to join the Maryland cannabis industry, build a team, or staff your Maryland cannabis industry business, DM me. CannaWorkforce and CannabizMD are actively recruiting for three more spots in our Dispensary Attendance Training course. We will deliver training programs for cultivation, trimming, and another round for dispensary attendants in 2024-2025. This program is of no cost to learners or the license holder. The successful learners do receive a modest stipend to offset costs, i.e., childcare. #cannabisindustry #cannabiseducation #marylandcannabis #workforcedevelopment #leadershiptraining

I’ve been saying it till I’m blue in the face, I’ll continue it until it’s clear for everyone. Providing Home Cultivation services in your dispensary(‘s), is just meeting the consumer where they’re at.. People who have been growing prior to your dispensaries opening, will continue to. So why not use a company like us (Private Caregivers Collective LLC) who can provide your dispensary with Cannabis Education for the consumer, home cultivation equipment, all-in-one / set-it and forget-it systems, high artisanal end cannabis seed genetics, and help you meet your consumers where they are! Homegrow shouldn’t be viewed as competition, but as additional sales channels! Senior Vice President at Marino.; Cannabis, Higher Education and Labor Strategic Communications Specialist
Dope Q&A in NY Cannabis Insider featuring Marino. client Happy Days Dispensary - one of only two #legal #cannabis dispensaries ON #LongIsland. If you're a Long Island #cannabisconsumer, check out #HappyDays ASAP - they have a huge selection of product and the store is truly a vibe! Amazing work by the whole team over there! Here's an excerpt from the Q&A: "About how many customers are you seeing per day? We’re seeing about 1000 customers a day, so things have definitely been going in the right direction. How many workers do you employ? We have 45 employees at the moment – mostly full time. Our dispensary is built out around customer service and providing an experience and education to our customers and also to our community. We want to have enough staff – educated and trained staff, to really make sure that any customer that comes in gets their questions answered. What kinds of products are selling the most? Flower is No. 1 by far, then vapes and pre rolls. Flower makes up for anywhere between about 35% to 40% of the total sales at the store." A year ago we had there were 31 dispensaries across the state - had nine medicinal-only dispensaries, and 22 medicinal and recreational dispensaries. Not only has the number of dispensaries ballooned to more than 120, there are now several locally-owned cannabis cultivators, manufacturers, and dispensaries. There's a lot to celebrate on the NJ-CRC's third anniversary and the second anniversary of recreational sales. Let's spark this special occasion and take a moment to reflect on the collective progress we have made to create an accessible, regulated cannabis market in the Garden State. Don't forget to stock up for your 4/20 celebration (which falls on a Saturday this year!) whether a J or gummy is your thing. Enjoy responsibly, of course. Find products here (njcrcgov.info/cannabis) and use our dispensary directory (njcrcgov.info/Dispensaries) to see where you can get them. Here are the latest dispensaries to open: • Recreational-only: ○ Bakin' Bad, Atlantic City ○ Blue Violets, Hoboken ○ The Dispensary of Somerset, Somerset ○ The Dispensary of Union, Union ○ Flower & Flame Dispensary, Blackwood ○ Ohm Theory, Elmwood Park ○ SunnyTien, Atlantic City ○ Timber 5, Somerset • Expansions to Recreational: ○ ROOTS Dispensary, Willingboro
