On the peak of Mount Storfjellet, in the town of Hammerfest, within Finnmark County in Norway, a pair of modular biophilic warming huts allow visitors to experience the great outdoors from a new perspective. Commissioned by the Den Norske Turistforening (Norwegian Trekking Associarion), SPINN Arkitekter partnered with Format Engineers to create the wooden cross-laminated timber shell and the 77 unique exterior panels that adorn it. The firms used state of the art 3D mapping technology to understand the dynamic site they were working with. Using a combination of drones and photogrammetry software, the shapes for the structures were created. The structures went through rigorous simulation testing, to make sure that they were able to withstand powerful winter arctic storms, extreme wind conditions, and structural forces caused by snowfall. The construction of the two huts were a community effort that involved many volunteers and over 1500 hours of transportation and construction to and on the site. The modular structures, can hopefully be used as a test subject for minimal impact units within the natural environment in other regions of the world. We recently completed a topographical drawing of an urban area, focusing on future road planning.  To maintain clarity and simplicity, we extracted only the main features that significantly impact the design, such as existing roadways, buildings, and major landmarks.  This streamlined approach ensures that the essential elements are highlighted, avoiding unnecessary clutter.  At the end of the process, we added contour lines to provide an exact representation of the terrain.  This comprehensive yet concise drawing will serve as a vital tool for effective and efficient urban planning, ensuring well-informed decisions for future road developments. #UrbanPlanning #TopographicalDrawing #RoadDesign #CityPlanning #ContourLines #LandSurveying #UrbanDevelopment #InfrastructureDesign  #Topography #FutureRoads #Mapping #GeospatialData #CityInfrastructure #SurveyingEngineering #UrbanDesign
