Seeing Employer brand becoming an increasingly greater priority for businesses Find out more about the ways to improve your Employer brand in our whitepaper below
🌟 Building a strong employer brand is essential. Even the best hiring teams face challenges if a quick search reveals negative feedback. Your goal is for every candidate and employee to speak highly of your business. A stellar reputation makes it easier to attract top Machine Learning Engineers, increase response rates, and boost the chances of your chosen candidate selecting you. 💡 NVIDIA is a prime example. During the pandemic, NVidia’s CEO pledged zero layoffs and gave salary raises, showing commitment to employees and cementing a powerful employer brand. In a candidate-driven market, a proactive hiring strategy is essential. Most top Machine Learning Engineers are happily employed and not actively seeking new roles. Partnering with a specialist recruitment agency like Generative can be transformative. For more insights, read our whitepaper on attracting top ML talent. In old days, corporation executives had to try really hard to get things right in long term, from predicting market situation to company strategy. Nowadays, it's way easier: you just keep hiring people to work on ideas, if ideas don't work out, lay them off, then later hire other people to work on other ideas again. Wait, is it waste of shareholders' interests by not able to manage efforts more accurately and productively, yes, but it's the "fault" of employees, not the executives😀 So you rarely see executives get fired because of their inability to manage business well. https://lnkd.in/gk9aaFWv

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasizes that references, not interviews, are the key to hiring success at Nvidia, where turnover is remarkably low. 💼 References over interviews: Huang believes that while interviews can be scripted, references provide a more accurate reflection of a candidate's true abilities and character. 🔄 Low turnover: Nvidia boasts a 2.7% turnover rate, significantly lower than the industry average of 17.7%, demonstrating employee retention. 📈 Demand for Blackwell AI chips: Despite its intense work culture, Nvidia continues to innovate, with high demand for its next-generation Blackwell AI chips. #HiringStrategy #Leadership #TechInnovation 🎯 The real insight: Huang asks references the same questions he would have asked the candidate, ensuring authenticity and minimizing the influence of polished interview techniques. 🌱 Longevity in the workforce: Employees rarely leave Nvidia, highlighting a culture that retains talent even under pressure. 💡 Work environment challenges: Despite long hours and a competitive atmosphere, Nvidia’s commitment to cutting-edge tech keeps employees motivated. ♻️ Repost if you enjoyed this post and follow me, César Beltrán Miralles, for more curated content about leadership! https://lnkd.in/gfR44g_g
