Yes, that's a penguin in a suit on a slip n' slide...here's why: 🐧 Sales reps in Cape Town (Century City, on-site) basic + allowances + uncapped comm! Sales reps: the unsung heroes of the business world. Armed with charm, product knowledge, and a phone glued to their ear, they turn "no" into "maybe" and "maybe" into "heck yes, sign me up!" They're smoother than a buttered-up penguin on a slip 'n slide and problem solvers extraordinaire. So, next time you see one, give 'em a nod. They've got quotas to meet and deals to seal. Who knows, you might end up buying something you didn't even know you needed. That's the magic of sales, folks! ✨ (Full job description in the 1st comment) #SalesHeroes #CharmAndKnowledge #DealMakers #SmoothOperators #ProblemSolvers #SalesMagic

Sales managers! what are your biggest pet peeves? I'll go 1st. When you hire a sales rep who promises he'll make a ton of sales. Only to be the lowest result sales person on the team. Bothers the hell out of me. I would rather a rep tell me out righ: "I'm not the best at sales but I want to learn." Compare to: "I'll be the best sales person your company has ever seen." I don't know about you but lying grinds my gears. So what is your biggest pet peeve as a sales manager? #salesmanager #sales #frustration

"Cliff was hired last year as a salesman in our Lonestar Region in Texas. He goes above and beyond the role of salesman, doing QC on jobs, and hopping in a mixer when needed. It seems like almost every day Cliff is calling with news of another big job he got for us, and we had to add mixers and drivers to keep up with all the work he gained us. He always has a positive can-do attitude and is a huge part of our future growth in Texas. Thank you, Cliff, for all you do." Nominated by: Jeramy Croell, Territory Manager Favorite thing about working at Croell: Getting to be a big part of this fast-growing, family-oriented company and enjoying the challenges that are asked of me to help this company grow. Most interesting project: Stephenville ISD football stadium - 20,000 yards! What advice would you give to someone who might want to join Croell: Be excited to be a part of this company. Don't be afraid to learn this product and how it works. Hobbies include: Spending time with my family and friends. Going out to listen to music with my wife. One thing people probably don’t know about me: I've been active in the fire service for 29 years. Bucket list: Building another antique truck. #CroellInc #EmployeeSpotlight #EmployeeRecognition

“Can i help you?” At 17 I started my retail sales career at Nordstrom. I was quickly yanked into the back room after uttering these words to a customer. “That is the lamest thing you can say, don’t ever say it again. You are asking a closed yes/no question. It kills conversations” I never did, learning every variation to greet a customer with an opened ended question I could conjur. Dialogue was up! Sales were up. Now at trade shows I hear the same phrase used by seasoned sales folks. Don’t do it. Best answer I ever heard from a customer “why do I look sick?” You have 5 seconds to get a persons attention at an event. Think of five conversation starters you can use. They can’t say yes no! That is the key. “What are you currently using for garbage lids?” “Why do dumpster lids break?” “What do you think of our dumpster lids?” How many dumpster lids do you replace a year? You slowed down, what are you thinking?” Bonus tip. The customers name is not “Hey”. #salestip

I do the things others don’t want to do. My first job out of college was a desk job. While other chemists asked to stand in a lab, I said “yes” to sitting on a chair all day. The position had been vacant for months. The recruiter had been grateful he’d finally found a candidate. Then, I accepted a job in sales administration. Read that again. Sales ADMINISTRATION. Exactly 😆 Over a decade, I met exactly ONE person EXCITED to join our team. But doing a job in an unglamorous field meant steady employment in throughout the 2008 financial crisis and for that, I was grateful. Now that I host chocolate tastings, I do the things that others don’t. ✅ I’m the administrator of a Facebook group for chocolate industry professionals 💻 While it’s been a thankless job at times, running a group has helped gain visibility and trust, and I now have a large network of colleagues to show for it. ✅ Since 2020, I’ve started shipping chocolate in the summer ☀️ It requires studying 10-day weather forecasts, but it’s gratifying to see chocolate bars arrive intact despite the July heat. ✅ I fulfill all tasting kits in-house. Most times, I have help. Other times, I package the chocolate myself. I usually get packages out within 24 hrs of receiving addresses. ✅I include a handwritten note in each kit. Yes, sometimes there’s only a line, but I want to write the recipient to see their name on a card. Doing something nobody else wants to do isn’t glamourous. Sometimes it can be fun, other times, not so much (remember: sales administration). But what you lose in glamour, you may get in market shares. Pictured: the first chocolate tasting kits of the year are heading across the country. — 👋🏼 I’m Estelle Tracy and I host fine chocolate tastings, both virtually all over the world and IRL in the Philadelphia area. 📧 Email me at estelle@37chocolates.com to book a chocolate tasting for your team.

PRN Pharmacal Channel Sales Manager | Animal Health Sales Leader, Speaker & Trainer | Equine Careers Podcaster | DiSC Facilitator
𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐒. Do you think love!, or, nah!? I didn’t grow up saying I WANT TO BE A SALESPERSON!!! But whoa- here I am, 20 years in, and I LOVE being a sales professional! 💜 Now that I’m teaching a sales class, I’m really thinking about the basics again, and noticing ALL my interactions. Today, I have to celebrate this amazing professional! While she has nothing to do with ag, animal health, or equine, she is a SHINING example of greatness, and made my day, as she always does when I finally see her. I’ve worn Clinique makeup since high-school, and while I don’t wear a lot of makeup, I wouldn’t leave this woman for all the money in the world. From the moment I wandered in to her realm well over a decade ago, and declared to this lovely stranger that I didn’t need to be upsold on anything other than the basics, I didn’t want anything fancy, and I need to put makeup on in 2 minutes or less… she smiled, she asked questions, and she became my new best friend. I ADORE HER. I respect her, I love her style, her communication, her attention to her customer, her product knowledge… she does EVERYTHING right. She changed stores, so did I. Covid happened, she met me at the door. I galavant across the country, she ships to wherever I happen to be. And I honestly only buy makeup once a year. There are people who spend lots more 💰 than me. She doesn’t care, she knows me, she knows my products, she texts me. SHE.IS.AMAZING. She made my day today, and I know I’m not the only one she makes feel that way. 💜✨ I think I’ll change my JodiSpeaksLIFE 2024 Sales Training program to “Be like Gracie.” If you have a sales team that includes Millennial and GenZ females- let’s talk- I can help with results, retention and culture! (But not make-up!) #sales #salestraining #customerexperience #agsales

Waiters are one of the best sales people. When I was 16 I used to work as a waiter in the exhibition and congress center of Berlin. I always admired all the older senior waiters for never ever taking a seat, relentlessly running around while carrying a big smile on their faces and apparently never getting any tired. 🤵🏻 I instead felt my legs within minutes of just standing and running around so I always secretly ran into the storage room to rest a few seconds on boxes of bottles.. On the busiest days the time flew by and I actually enjoyed the job, handling so many customers at once. 🐝 Most of the time I didn't like the job, because I absolutely lacked education and experience in catering, I had a very poor memory for orders and I felt clumsy and afraid of dropping plates.. Among all my teenage jobs, it wasn’t delivering church magazines to mailboxes when I was 12 (later upgrading to huge stacks of boulevard magazines that arrived at my doorstep every weekend).. It wasn't selling ice cream out of my vendor's tray around my stomach at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin or handing out flyers. Instead, the caterer experience was the one job that has been the best school for my later professional life. I had learned unconsciously some of the most important traits any successful seller needs, e.g.: 1. Asking qualifying questions 2. Serving customers 3. Solving continuous problems 4. Interpersonal skills & communication 5. Having a hustler mentality Looking back, I am thankful I early on had learned dealing with discomfort, difficulty and disrespect and still wanting to help others. Which early job experience did shape and prepare you for the job you are doing today? P.S.: Let's please respect all waiters out there next time going out. ❤️🙏 #sales #salesenablement #salescoaching
