Happy weekend! I'm amazed at how far I've gone in this challenge Today am going to be talking on: **Sustainability in the food industry! There's a growing concern on food sustainability as the global human population continues to grow, the demand for food rises. Unfortunately, the release of green house gases from the utilization of synthetic fertilizer and pesticides are causing detrimental effects on sustainable food production and agro ecosystem. Despite these challenges, there remain underutilized opportunities for sustainable production. The microbes! * These tiny organisms can be used as alternative food sources to directly supply nutrients to both humans and livestock. * Microbes also offer high flexibility and diversity in facilitating crop productivity and agricultural food production. Fermentation method is one of the applications of microorganisms in sustaining the food processing industry which have a strong influence on the quality and quantity of food. *Microorganisms generally contribute to cost savings and revenue manufacturing within the food industry.
