I can't wait to see more posts about Build Submarines "Built to Last" campaign and to have the opportunity to help raise awareness about the incredible opportunities in maritime manufacturing. It's time to debunk some outdated perceptions about the industry I work in at Granite State Manufacturing ; specifically building US Navy ships & submarines. Firstly, the belief that skilled trades and manufacturing jobs offer low pay is untrue. These positions offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits. Secondly, there's a misconception that there are limited career growth opportunities. In reality, the industry is full of pathways for advancement and professional development. And lastly, it's time to break the stereotype that these fields are predominantly male-dominated. Women are making significant strides and contributions in skilled trades and manufacturing every day.
