In some cases, it is not possible to bench excavations. In tight access areas or where live traffic prevents benching, shoring boxes must be used. In this video we see a scenario where an existing batter prevented us from benching safely. The team at Shore Hire provided us with a perfect solution, their 1.5m wide by 2.4m deep, five meter long trench box came with pre-installed handrails and lifting points. Because of the quick turnaround from Shore Hire and our teams work on site, the 525mm and 600mm diameter FRC stormwater pipes and pre cast pits were installed with no down time.
