🔬 Cubes in Action Excited to share some of the innovative work our customers are doing with our CUBES! This time, we're highlighting a study by Matthijs Sevenois from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Molecular Imaging and Therapy Research Group (MITH Brussel). In preclinical quantitative MicroPET/CT imaging, activity meter read-out might pose a challenge to accurate scanner calibration. To obtain reproducible and reliable quantitative imaging, the performance of individual preclinical PET/CT systems (partial volume effect, spillover,…) should be validated for each used radionuclide and incorporated into routine quality control. This study aimed to compare the quantitative performance of 68Ga and 64Cu in the MOLECUBES β -CUBE and X-CUBE via a NEMA NU 4 phantom and compare activity meter response with an HPGe detector equipped with ISOCS software. MicroPET/CT imaging of 64Cu performs superior to 68Ga due to the impact of the large positron range of Ga68. In general, phantom measurements are necessary to determine the optimal number of iterations and the assessment of the stability of Recovery coefficients for different activity concentrations. 🔍 Interested in more applications like this? 🗣️ Exciting insights from Dr. Anna Ohradanova-Repic at the Medical University of Vienna! 🇦🇹 She shares her experience with the G:Box Chemi XX6 recently installed in her lab, highlighting its advanced sensitivity and cooled camera, perfect for her research needs! 🔍 Quoting Dr. Ohradanova-Repic: “We have been using the digital system to detect signals from our chemiluminescent Western blots previously, however the old system sometimes struggled to cool the camera down to the required temperatures during hot summer months. This was especially a problem when we needed long exposure times to detect low abundance signals in our samples. Therefore, we decided to replace it with the newer and more reliable system. G:Box Chemi XX6 imaging system from Syngene was the most sensitive device from all devices that we had a chance to test, including our own old system. Therefore, we decided to purchase the G:Box Chemi XX6 with the upgrade for fluorescent applications in 2023, and since then we successfully use it to acquire chemiluminescent Western blots, protein gels with proteins in-house labelled with various fluorescent dyes, and occasionally, we also analyse and count the bacterial colonies expressing fluorescent proteins. We are happy we decided for this versatile and easy to use system.” Explore the possibilities with G:Box Chemi XX6 ▶️ https://lnkd.in/eWBTbnH2 #LabInnovation #ResearchSuccess #LabTech
