Did you know? 🧐 Pallium Canada is working with Canadian researchers to map the current state of #PalliativeCare in ON and BC as a pilot? The maps cover key indicators like policy, education, palliative care services, and community engagement. By collecting data from healthcare leaders, surveys, and focus groups, this initiative is paving the way for a more integrated and supportive palliative care system. Future plans include expanding this mapping to all provinces and territories in Canada. Want to see what the Atlas looks like? Check out a sample from the pilot study here: https://lnkd.in/ggUK-Vbg

Totally agree! Lack of access to palliative care must be addressed within the framework of broader systemic injustices. Social criteria such as race, class, gender, age, (dis)ability, nationality, language and sexual orientation intersect in powerful ways to influence access to power, status and resources, with greater disparities manifesting in neoliberal, capitalist contexts. Thus, integrating needs and rights-based approaches in palliative care must challenge the structural conditions that underlie inequitable access. Need to move beyond a narrow expert-led clinical approach to biopsychosocial, spiritual and participatory approaches.

🔔 Attention LinkedIn Network 🔔 The Board of Transplant Australia has embarked on a decision that may have far-reaching implications, the extent of which they may not yet fully grasp. By convening an Extraordinary General Meeting to propose a special resolution for the expulsion of a transplant recipient based on an alleged breach of their social media policy, they are shedding light on the true nature of their actions. It's crucial for organisations to uphold fairness and transparency in their decisions, especially when it involves matters as sensitive as membership expulsion. This move raises questions about accountability & adherence to proper procedures. Remembering that being a Transplant Recipient is possibly the only prerequisite for being a member. Senate Community Affairs Enquiry into the alarming Australian Excess Deaths statistics (Committee ID: 2525375) Official Recording of Senate Committee Proceedings from the Australian Parliament 13/06/2024 Australian excess deaths. At 14:15 a segment reports: Covid mRNA for 1 year of reporting represent 23% of ALL other adverse event reports combined in whole 53 year history of DAEN reporting for ALL medicines mRNA shot s represent 38% of all cardiac disorders There are 1024 reported deaths (are there more, hasn’t TGA stopped reporting? One pointed segment just after 14:16 pm by Dr Jeyanthi Kunadhasan starts at 14:10 on the APH website but the whole day is an important watch 21 died in the vaccinated arm (several less than placebo) and in the actual mRNA recipient group, there were sudden (unexpected?) deaths in 10 of the vaccinated group of otherwise apparently healthy people - and these 10 deaths did NOT all get autopsy delivered for the trial to review- 10 unexplained (hidden?) deaths in the mRNA trial data !!?? How is there ANY reasonable or scientific way to conclude the shot was safe based on the trial data?? How have TGA not been utterly negligent and derelict in their duty of care? https://lnkd.in/gP9dpTus
