The real stone, shown on the left, has color variation and textures that can only be found in nature. On the right, the manufactured stone, made from cement and aggregates, will not only damage easily, it will show the damage and chips prominently. Mosaic tiles sparkle beautifully under water. That said, be aware of the installation challenges they sometimes present.
