😍Babies imitate well for acculturation👻👻 - as the owner seems to convey, while in reality it's the #common NECESSITIES finally lead to adaptation and assimilation. 🤔 If we generalise the former interpretation as per the owners pattern to interpret such fact of babies' mental homogeneity, perhaps it applies to Animalism, but if we evaluate the second interpretation as illustrates the shared post showing assimilation - 🙌then indeed melting pot zones🙌 - yet one day structural science of even biological science says - generic needs can be common, but genetic engineering of BMW will later find its source of DIFFERENCES, subsequently the affects are on overall equal opportunities syndrome - as one has to bow down to knees to climb the hill, while the other climbs the hill with ease, without knowing what is discomfort zone. This is a crux of 🦾🌻 final SELF-ACTUALISATION of one, while for the other an overrule to the fact of SELF-ACTUALISATION. Destiny of 🦾🌻 Civilians or of 🐵🐔🐶🐷 in human civilizations finally is designed and destined to create such #progenitors that militarise their notion of instinctual or creative urges for SUSTENANCE. Ecologically existence is #not for equality majority of the times, despite of equitable sustainability purposes.

I had plenty of time to reflect on Dad while on the plane back from Europe to the US. My visits to Samos and Trieste had been rich in clues. No one had said anything definite about a family secret or some fight that led to Dad’s estrangement from his family in the Aegean. But I connected some of the dots; not all, but enough of them to get a sense of what happened. Check out my latest blog: https://lnkd.in/gNjiMetD #newblog #blogpost

Toying with new ways of working? Absolutely. At a time when many companies are stepping back from hybrid and flexible models, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of an organization that embraces the future of work and i'm happy to tell anyone about it... (in this case, The Sunday Times Ireland). At StoryToys, we're not just talking about flexibility – we're living it. Thrilled to be in a place where we can focus on results, not presenteeism, and celebrate the diversity of experiences we all bring to the table. #FutureOfWork #HybridWorking #WorkLifeBalance #STBPTW2024 #STBPTW

Starting in about 2012 I had one foot in the nonprofit world and another in the civic tech world. Working with nonprofits, I'd often wish data & tech were more accessible and easy to use. Working in civic tech, I'd often wish we stopped trying to reinvent the wheel and learn from the work of communities & nonprofits. For a year now (how time flies!) I've been working at 9b with both feet, LOL, helping nonprofits understand how data research can help achieve their goals & working to democratize this world of data science—taking these tools and methods that have been in the hands of institutions and putting them in the hands of community. What can we build together when we can all have a conversation around the same data?

Where are you on a comfort level of being able to say “no”? ⚖️ If we look at a quick scale with 1 being that you can’t do it/never do it and 10 is that you have mastered saying no - where do you sit on this scale? 🗯️What is this telling you? What will you do? 😧Saying “no” is a common subject raised in my coaching practice and it requires accountability. It also requires space and thinking time to be action-led. ⚽️Whether you are a football fan or not, I’m sharing the below post from Gary Neville with thanks because it highlights a helpful perspective and offers some takeaways beyond just sport and leadership: ✅ It explores the theme of lessons learnt/reflections looking back. ➡️This is valuable to shape where you are going next. ✅ At what point will you know you need to take action? ➡️ How will you know this is impacting you? ✅ What impact is not saying no having on your mind, body and spirit? ➡️ How can you address this? ✅ What will you do about it? ➡️ Accountability ❓How do you say no? 👇
Roy Keane used to say to us as players “No is a sentence”. My time managing Valencia taught me about the importance of saying “no” during a time when I was saying “yes” to too many things!

Raymond Malone, Chairman Fairness in Construction Board 414 E 12th Street, 4th Floor East Kansas City, Missouri 64106 raymond.malone1943@gmail.com April 16, 2024 Quinton Lucas, Mayor City Council, All Districts Cc: Brian Platt, City Manager Cc:Jaime Guillen, CREO Director City of Kansas City, Missouri City Hall, 29th Floor (Mayor) City Hall, 22nd Floor (City Council) Kansas City, Missouri 64106 Honorable Mayor and City Councilpersons, Our past letters and messages to you to date have gone unanswered, therefore I’m forced to write this letter to informed you of our very real concerns. As the appointed Chair of the Fairness in Construction Board, who has always strived for excellence and professionalism, I find it necessary to address these issues in the hope of fostering a more inclusive and equitable contracting environment. As a reminder, the Fairness in Construction Board was created to address and remediate unfair public procurement procedures in both city funded and assisted projects, including tax incentivized projects. Particularly, the Fairness in Construction Board addresses disparities and exclusion of available and qualified socioeconomically disadvantaged businesses on publicly funded and assisted contracts. Through the implementation of the Fairness in Construction Board (“Board”), we have created a more competitive and fair environment for all. This is achieved through the collaborative process of the members of the Board. Being comprised of collective bargaining organizations, majority owned businesses, minority and woman owned businesses, construction business organizations, professional construction services organizations, and community input has created a partnership that promotes equal access, opportunity and protection of the laws of the city, state and federal government in public procurement. The strength of the Board has been transparency in data collection and reporting from the City’s Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Department. After repeated requests, the Board has been denied access to reports, administrative support and monitoring of city-funded and assisted contracts, including tax-incentivized projects (such as the Meta data-center project and more recently the Google data-center project). This has caused an increase in complaints of discriminatory activity in public procurement processes, on construction projects and reports of economic abuse of small and disadvantaged businesses on taxpayer funded projects. Over the past several decades, I have encountered numerous instances of discrimination based on race, color, sex and national origin in construction and its contracting procedures. These instances have ranged from subtle biases to outright discriminatory actions. A few examples of why Prime contractors need to be monitored. Especially JE Dunn, Turner Construction and McCownGordon in Kansas City Missouri our Disparity report displays discrimination. Mayor ignores Kcmo Fairness Board.
My heartfelt condolences to @MichelleObama and her family on the loss of her beloved mother. Mrs. Robinson's legacy of love, strength, and resilience will live on through all who knew her.
