My #GoogleAds client had auto-apply recommendations activated, leading Google Ads to add display ads to a search campaign. No #GoogleAdsExpert would recommend this. I used to believe Google wanted their clients to succeed, but now I’m not so sure. The ad spend for display ads often gets wasted on app ads. Instead of an opt-out option, you must deactivate all 140 app categories individually. Such things are bad for #GoogleAds clients but beneficial for #GoogleAdsManagers like me, as it requires expertise and experience to optimize effectively.
