Yesterday, our Commissioners took a key step toward better supporting those in our community experiencing mental health or substance use issues.
The Commissioners announced an $18 million investment in an Emergency Behavioral Health Crisis Center that will be able to provide around-the-clock critical support, crisis intervention, and stabilization services.

Mental health and substance use disorder care have long been out of reach for many Americans—a challenge more than half of U.S. governors from both sides of the aisle focused on in their 2024 State of the State addresses.
"Our state is filled with capable [mental health] professionals who care about getting Iowans the support they need," Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (R) said.
But their ability to help is "short-changed by a fractured system."
Maine Governor Janet Mills (D) pointed to one solution:
Establishing "a network of crisis receiving centers across Maine so that any person suffering a mental health crisis can get prompt and appropriate care, instead of being alone or languishing in an emergency department or a jail, as is too often the case."

I applaud the passage of Proposition 1, which changes the way money is spent on mental health and other services in California with approval of a $6.4 billion bond to support 10,000 behavioral health beds. It also reconfigures funding for drug addiction treatment. SAMHSA's latest numbers show 21% of individuals experiencing homelessness reported having a serious mental illness, and 16% reported having a substance use disorder. In California these numbers are estimated to be even higher, with substance use disorder affecting upwards of half of the homeless population. These are significant public health challenges warranting broad systems reform. I hope to see more states adopt a similar approach. #mentalhealth#Prop1#policyhttps://lnkd.in/eXZAtPbg

I ABSOLUTELY SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH CRYPTOCURRENCY.
I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THE INFANT DEMOCRATIC-CAPITALISTIC MINDS OF TODAY BLAME THE USA GOVERNMENT. THAT SAID THEN IS ANY GOVERNMENT TO BE BLAMED FOR THE HOMELESS PROBLEMS PLAGUING THE WORLD.?... NO. GOD KNOWS ALL THE HEADACHES USA GOVERNMENT HAVE WITH THE FOREIGN AFFAIRS. THE NEW WORLD IS PRACTICALLY A SHOCK TO WITNESS. PEOPLE "ONLY WORKING" TOGETHER FOR A COMMON GOAL... "IN THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS." THUS DOESN'T THAT ALSO INCLUDE THE HOMELESS. THE HOMELESS ARE OUT THERE...
ARE YOU.?
HOMELESS A OPPORTUNITY MISUNDERSTOOD.....
The modern economic system is a market economy, which is a capitalist economy where people, not the government--NOT THE GOVERNMENT--own most businesses. In a capitalist economy, prices allocate capital and labor between competing uses, and capital assets like factories, mines, and railroads can be privately owned and controlled.

EXAMPLE, IF YOU NEED TO RAISE MONEY FOR ANY REASON OR MORE SO LETS SAY THE "HOMELESS" PROBLEM WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE TIME & MONEY CONSUMING BUT IN ONE DIRECTION TOWARD THE HOMELESS.
HOWEVER CRYPTOCURRENCY CAN POSSIBLE ALLOWS AN EXPENDITURE OF CURRENCY TO BENEFIT ALL WHO USES THE CRYPTO & REGARDLESS OF HOW IT'S CONSUMED.
THEREFORE IF A CRYPTO "HOMELESS" CURRENCY EXISTED IT'S MORE HIGHLY LIKELY THAT THE HOMELESS PROBLEM CAN BE VANQUISHED BECAUSE CURRENCY-FINANCES IT'S ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO BE TAPPED INTO FOR HOMELESS RESOLUTIONS.

Good news: There’s a law that protects people seeking mental health and addiction care. It’s called the Parity Act.
Bad news: It hasn’t been strongly enforced.
This has placed an unfair burden on individuals and families who face insurmountable barriers in trying to access affordable care.
The federal government is considering new policies to strengthen parity requirements. But we need your help to get these rules over the finish line.
Visit tinyurl.com/parityrule2023 to support these changes and consider sharing your own experiences.
Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) compliance is a top priority for the federal government, and employers and self-insured plan sponsors need to be aware of their obligations.
