📅 Our Getting Connected Accrington Webinar & Carbon Workshop was a great success! The webinar was a follow up to an event hosted at Accrington Town Hall last year 👉 https://lnkd.in/ejtcEJ4R. Sustainability Manager Kane Greenough also led a workshop detailing practical steps for SME’s to reduce their carbon footprint, and the reporting / data preferred by main contractors when working with supply chain partners. David Jolliffe detailed the business support available from East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce for local SME's seeking to enhance their sustainability credentials. Many thanks to everybody involved with the event. A recording of the webinar is available via the link below. It's probably the most significant sustainability regulation to date: the #CSRD. And we were very pleased that Patrick de Cambourg, "the father of the CSRD" took time to discuss the regulation with SWEEP's teams a few days ago. The CSRD is still very new, but it is already proving to be a source of transformation for the businesses which must comply. As political discussions about the future of the regulation continue, we at Sweep agree with M. de Cambourg that we are entering a future where data transparency will take on ever greater importance, and drive significant change. #ESRS #EFRAG #ESG
I'd like to extend thanks and appreciation to Patrick de Cambourg, Chair of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board, for participating in SWEEP's company offsite. As fellow close followers of all things #CSRD, it was a very special opportunity for us to exchange directly with "the architect of the CSRD" about this important regulation, as well as the path ahead for business sustainability. I am proud of the depth of knowledge around these topics that my SWEEP colleagues demonstrate on a daily basis, and proud of their enthusiastic participation in our discussion with M. de Cambourg. Collectively, we at Sweep, are committed to staying ahead on the CSRD and other regulations which are so key to the success of the businesses we work with, today and in the low-carbon economy of the future. This was a great opportunity to reinforce that commitment. Merci Monsieur de Cambourg.
