I am excited to share my first published paper today presenting the results from my work with the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory! Using Swift, we were able to detect an X-ray outburst from a previously undiscovered Be/X-ray binary system located in the Small Magellanic Cloud. Further analysis revealed persistent eclipses in the light curve of the source, making it the third eclipsing Be/X-ray binary ever discovered. The paper will appear in the Astrophysical Journal Letters soon, but the pre-print is available today on ArXiv. If you are interested in reading more about our results, here is a link to the paper:
