We often overlook celebrating our wins. I believe it's crucial to pause, reflect, and celebrate accomplishments before tackling the next challenge. Practicing what I preach, I'm thrilled to share a creative concept I dreamed up was featured on the front cover of Event Marketer magazine after a successful launch at SXSW!
This accomplishment is especially meaningful to me. With nearly a decade in experiential marketing, seeing my work validated and publicly recognized by a respected outlet like EventMarketer is not just incredibly rewarding, it’s affirmation I didn’t know I needed. Who would've thought—me, a cover girl?
Activating at SXSW has always been a bucket list item for me—a convergence of culture, innovation, and experiential marketing. SXSW is a playground to some of the most accomplished brands & agencies in the game & we all have the same goal in mind - break through the noise & set your brand apart from the rest.
Here’s why I believe this experiential program resonated so well:
💥 Targeted Engagement: At SXSW, FOMO is real. Instead of competing with other events, we capitalized on crowded lines, turning a captive audience into engaged consumers.
💥 Social Listening: Agility was key; social listening helped us deploy our street team swiftly to targeted locations.
💥 Thoughtful Branding: From branded fans to sunglasses, sunscreen to fanny packs, Shipt was everywhere attendees turned.
💥 Solve Pain Points: Offering cold drinks under the hot Austin sun addressed a genuine attendee need.
💥 Cost Effectiveness: Guerilla marketing offered a budget-friendly alternative to traditional SXSW house takeovers.
💥 Environmental Impact: Our guerilla approach minimized environmental footprint by avoiding large-scale fabrications.
