My introduction to the world of content creators, or then called bloggers, happened some 10-plus years ago when I stumbled upon a few fashion content creators sharing their outfit pictures on Instagram and wrote a blog about what and why of it. From that time to now, there has been a surge in fashion content creators and the way they create content. Their influence has transformed traditional editorial shoots into the ever-growing world of digital content, making fashion more inclusive and celebrated today. Whether through Instagram Reels lookbooks or YouTube tutorials, creators are serving style with sass on our feeds. But what has also happened in these ten years is that the fashion industry has become one of the significant pollutants of the environment. The increase in fashion content on social media might have added to the cause as little as it might have. In the last few years, the conversation around the need to be conscious and sustainable in our efforts has increased, leading to several fashion content creators opting for ways and means to implement that in their lives and educate audiences about it. Fashion Content Creator and the cover star of Social Ketchup's Fashion edition, Ishita Mangal also spoke about the importance of being a conscious shopper and urged people to recycle and re-wear fashion items they already own. Through this cover, we have tried to bring to light how important it is to repurpose clothes and avoid wastage created by manufacturing garments. We partnered with Advait and created this stunning custom outfit crafted entirely from fabric scraps found in a factory to urge our audience to take the steps required to reduce waste and 'style with purpose'. This ensemble isn’t just about style—it's a statement on the importance of sustainability in fashion. I would urge you to embrace practices that protect our planet and upcycle waste into wearable art to make a greener fashion future. #Fashion #ContentCreation #SustainableFashion
