ADVICE FOR THOSE OVER 66 (THAT'S TWO-THIRDS OF A CENTURY!!) I have seen a lot of posts on how to reverse diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, etc. In my opinion, these bits of advice are for younger people... people below 60... Not for people above 66... Remember, getting old is a part of life. If you have crossed 66, then you are doing well!! Given the dietary and other lifestyle options of today, you could have diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity after 66. Don't worry. This is quite normal. Take your medication. Don't try out new dietary and other lifestyle fads. Practice ACCEPTANCE. Nobody lives forever. Enjoy your last days on the Planet. Read. Walk. Relax. 🙏🙏

Clutter can feel like those extra pounds we carry around. It doesn't just strain your body—it impacts how you feel about yourself. For some, being overweight is also a step towards prediabetes, a condition where your body starts to struggle to control blood sugar. But here's the good news: prediabetes doesn't have to turn into diabetes. I was on that path myself. I changed my habits, cut out sugary foods, and decided my health was more important. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. I became someone who didn't need the muffins, sodas, and sugary coffee drinks anymore. Prediabetes means your body is struggling to use the sugar in your blood. It's like having a cluttered house—you have all this stuff but can't find it when you need something specific. So, you end up buying more. With prediabetes, your cells can't "see" and process the sugar properly. Your body continues producing more insulin, but nothing changes. The cycle continues, and eventually, prediabetes can turn into diabetes. But like clutter, prediabetes can be managed and reversed. Are you still craving something more, even when you already have enough? I help my clients manage their cravings. I reversed my path toward prediabetes, and you can too. Let's work together to clear the clutter from your health and life. Influenza is here. 💥Here are 5 things you can do to help your child get through the flu: 📍Comfort and Rest: Provide a cozy and comfortable space for your child to rest. Ensure they have plenty of pillows and blankets. Encourage them to sleep as much as needed to aid the body in recovery. 📍Hydration is Key: Keep your child hydrated by offering clear fluids like water, electrolyte drinks, or broths. Hydration helps manage symptoms and prevents dehydration, which can be common during illness. 📍Manage Fever and Discomfort: Use age-appropriate over-the-counter fever reducers or pain relievers, as recommended by your healthcare provider. Follow dosing instructions carefully. Consider cool compresses or tepid baths to help reduce fever and ease discomfort. 📍Encourage Nutritious Foods: Offer easy-to-digest, nutrient-rich foods to support your child’s immune system. Soups, fruits, and well-balanced meals can provide essential vitamins and minerals necessary for recovery. 📍Create a Calm Environment: Minimize stimulation and create a quiet, soothing environment for your child. Dim the lights, play soft music, or read a comforting story together. This can help reduce stress and promote a sense of security during illness. Remember, it’s crucial to monitor your child’s symptoms closely. If you have concerns about their health or symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare professional for guidance and appropriate care. 🌟💙 #influenza #drcandicemd #kidshappyhealthy #daycarelife #fever #cough #sickbaby #theflu

When your immune system is working well, you might not give much thought to it. When it is not, it can become impossible to ignore. A weakened immune system can make you more prone to sickness, infections, and disease. The immune system is complex and bio-individual, but there are simple approaches everyone can take to support it. Like, start with the basics: ➡️ ensure you are getting enough sleep and rest ➡️ hydration ➡️ eating fresh, whole foods as much as possible ➡️ focus on regular movement and physical activity ➡️ get out in nature ➡️ honor your emotions, practice self gratitude ➡️ be social Ideally, consistency with healthy habits goes a long way toward preventing sickness. However, it can happen. Going back to basics can not only get you back to yourself again, it can establish habits that you can continue to incorporate every day. Be good to yourself.💝🤗✨ #immunesupport #foodismedicine #mentalhealth #healthandwellness #healthyhabits #healthcoach #basics #selfcare
