Hired as Field Operations Managers last year, Will Batson and Jarret Fowlkes of Commercial Maintenance have been promoted to Junior Account Managers. “They are proactive, client-focused, and detail-oriented,” Customer Relation Manager Josh Wilder said. “These promotions are well-deserved, and we are excited to see Jarret and Will continue to thrive in their new capacities.” A graduate of Mississippi State University, Will joined Michael Hatcher & Associates in July 2023. Jarret, who graduated from Christian Brothers University, has been part of our Team for nine months. Both said they love our company’s camaraderie and family-like atmosphere and agreed that their stints as FOMs will be an advantage in their new roles. “Having been a Field Operations Manager, I can communicate issues to other FOMs about properties so they can relay that to the crews,” Jarret said, adding that from mowing and mulching to edging and trimming, “I wouldn’t ask them to do something I wouldn’t or don’t know how to do. That’s why I think communication is so important.” Their experience as FOMs ultimately benefits our Commercial Maintenance customers. “When I’m out on property or talking to a client, I can better explain our process of how we do things and give them a better understanding of what needs to be done and the timeline it will take to get it done,” Will said, noting the importance of building and maintaining positive client interactions. “We want customers to be able to trust us with anything they need or want done on their properties.” Check out the work that Will, Jarret, and our entire account management team can do for your commercial property at www.hatcherlandscape.com. #CommercialLandscape #CommercialMaintenance #Excellence #CareerGrowth #CareerDevelopment #CareerAdvancement

This! This is a perfect example of what I spoke to earlier this week, and I couldn't not share when I saw it this morning. The story of Jessica Rioux is a paragon of dedication and loyalty, and she is an exemplary professional with more knowledge than most who are actively in management and human resources departments (IMHO). Jessica started her career as a receptionist, and I would suggest she is way more than what her current title reflects. Her unwavering commitment and hands-on approach are what had her rising through the ranks. She embodies the very essence of growth and adaptability. And today, she stands as a testament to what dedication and continuous learning can achieve. You want to know what truly sets Jessica apart, though? Her story. We all have them. My favorite kind of inspiration are the stories, the achievements, the examples of others. Jessica has many, I am sure, but my favorite... Five years ago, as a single working mother, Jessica demonstrated extraordinary determination by pursuing and obtaining her BBA in Business Management & Human Resources - this is no small feat. And, mind you, I needed a little of that inspiration when I was first deciding whether or not I should go back to school. The hands-on experience she has collected over the last decade provides her with a unique perspective, enabling her to understand and address the nuances of workplace dynamics effectively. That experience makes her invaluable, her person Jessica mentions that Helen Keller once said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." She, and many whose titles don't accurately reflect their contributions to their company, is/are a living embodiment of this philosophy, proving that collective efforts, guided by knowledgeable and dedicated individuals, lead to unparalleled success. Happy 10 years, Jessica, that Southern office is lucky to have you. #ProfessionalGrowth #HumanResources #Leadership #Dedication #CareerJourney #Inspiration #pulpandpaperindustry #chemicalindustry
Just over nine years ago, I accepted the position as receptionist at STEBBINS ENGINEERING. Much to my surprise, God had big plans to expand my horizons in the professional realm. Leaving the school system as a para professional, I had no clue the journey I would soon embark on. After eleven months at STEBBINS, I was offered the role of billing assistant. I accepted the role and embraced it with an open mind. Eleven months later I was asked to take on the role of Southern Operations Coordinator. Although I knew I desired growth, I was quite nervous. However, I pushed through the nervousness and embraced the challenge. It’s safe to say, I had no clue the depth of that challenge at the time. Yet, I persevered. Thankfully, many patient leaders took me under their wings and taught me about the role. My position as coordinator opened many doors of growth for me. It also opened my eyes to a whole new world that I hadn’t yet experienced. In 2018, I visited a jobsite for the first time in Fernandina Beach, FL. (Picture below) I was so proud to go out and see what I had a small part of bringing to fruition. To be a part of “the crew” for a few days gave me such a sense of pride. Today, after coordinating for seven years, I can honestly say that I have so much respect for the people in this industry. Being a part of it has afforded me the opportunity to meet many great people and appreciate the skill set of each individual. As I move toward my tenth year, I look forward to learning and growing much more with our team. “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

Looking for a change this summer? Or to stay the same? Change is a word ... for a journey with stress. ~ You get the journey, and you get the stress. The payoff is at the end, you're a different person. But both elements are part of the deal. Choose hard. And watch the growth that happens. ~ ”Before last summer, I had worked 6 years in veterinary hospitals as a veterinary technician. I worked two jobs and was looking for a third one that I could do remotely for some extra cash. ~ 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫. 🌺A Day in the Life of a Residential Account Manager at Southern Botanical I had the incredible chance to spend a day with Bridget from our Residential Department team, gaining insight into the role of a Residential Account Manager. Here are some key takeaways I gained during my property walk-through: 🌿The Importance of Account Managers Interacting with residential clients highlighted how crucial Account Managers are in fostering excellent client relationships. They ensure that projects not only meet client expectations but also adhere to our industry standards. Their role is vital in achieving results and enhancing the overall client experience. 🌿Practical Learning Experience This opportunity taught me the significance of tools like Aspire and Smartlink for efficient operations and enhanced service delivery. I also had the chance to get hands-on by replacing a sprinkler spray head, which provided me with a practical understanding of the attention to detail required in our work. 🌿Teamwork and Communication:** Observing Bridget’s skill in communicating and collaborating with various teams was truly motivating. It highlighted the importance of teamwork and effective communication in delivering top-notch service Big shout-out to all Account Managers—your dedication is truly inspiring! 🌟👏 What's your favorite part of being an Account Manager in the landscape industry? #ResidentialAccountManager #Teamwork #LandscapeIndustry #SouthernBotanical #CareerOpportunity
