Exciting news coming out of Sapphire yesterday. The possibilities of integrating a SAP estate with an Azure Cloud platform have just gone to the next level. It was always possible to integrate data from SAP, as well as M365 applications through Power Platform / Power Automate, but now with Copilot plugins, the ability to directly integrate with Joule, as well as possibilities for integrating using Teams as your single "interface", it will get easier. Like any transformative progression, it's still important to address considerations around access to data, security, appropriate governance, as well as the value analysis of where it makes the most sense to deploy these capabilities, so that Business Users can safely and securely benefit from the productivity gains resulting from this. https://lnkd.in/g2kNuFzh

#SAPSapphire #Orlando During the last SAP Sapphire Keynote were shown the latest #GenAI Innovations and SAP Partnerships including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Apple, NVIDIA, and embecta. These are the first day key points: ➡️ Dr. Philipp Herzig discussed the extensive integration of Joule, the natural-language, generative AI copilot, across SAP's technology platform and business applications. Joule saves developers 2 hours daily. ➡️ A new consulting capability for Joule was introduced, designed to streamline SAP implementations with #GenerativeAI. ➡️ SAP and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are collaborating to simplify the adoption of the RISE with SAP solution on AWS. Matt Garman, CEO of AWS, mentioned that Amazon's Kuiper will run on SAP. ➡️ #SAP announced plans to enhance Joule's functionality by integrating it with Microsoft #Copilot, aiming to provide even deeper insights. ➡️ #NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, including NVIDIA NIM and NeMo Retriever microservices, is being utilized for Joule’s SAP Consulting capabilities and ABAP Developer capabilities. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, noted that NVIDIA's entire supply chain operates on SAP. ➡️ #SAP and #Google are working together to help businesses better understand the impact of marketing campaigns on product sales by integrating Joule and SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain with Google’s #GeminiAI assistant and Google Cloud Cortex Framework’s Data Foundation based on BigQuery. ➡️ A new add-in for #SAP Analytics Cloud content, enabling native integration with Microsoft PowerPoint, is planned for release in the second half of this year. NEC Corporation is migrating to SAP S/4HANA Cloud via the RISE with SAP solution on AWS, partnering with ABeam Consulting. Leveraging generative AI and SAP's Joule copilot, this move aims to facilitate a clean-core transformation, streamline migration costs, and improve operational efficiency. This transition aligns with NEC’s 2025 plan for digital and societal transformation by modernizing ERP, reducing costs, and enhancing integration.

As SAP defines new frontiers of #BusinessAI applications across industries and lines of businesses, I am very excited that NEC Corporation has chosen to leverage #Joule, SAP’s #GenAI copilot, to streamline its migration of on-prem SAP S/4HANA software to the cloud. By adopting RISE with SAP, NEC Corporation will use its own generative AI together with Joule copilot to automate critical processes for a clean-core transformation, optimising migration costs and operational efficiency.
