The MTR 45th Anniversary Themed Train embarked on its journey today. Inspired by the first-generation passenger trains, the train features the classic iconic ball-shaped straphanger, bringing back memories we have shared together and showcasing the evolution of the railway alongside the city’s growth over the years. The train will be on display at Choi Hung Station from 10:45 am to 12 noon on 24 August and will run in service until the end of this year. #MTR45 #MTR45Years #ThemedTrain #TogetherInMTR #Togetherness

Congratulations MTR! Keep going. Keep growing! The new MTR celebratory TV commercial rocks. Full of fond memories.
I did 19 years in Hong Kong and Eric’s right, it’s the MTR.

that looks really cool
I enjoy working in the fastener industry! "If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters." (Alan K. Simpson)
2moI haven't been to Hong Kong since 2006 or thereabouts but one of my greatest memories was how efficient and wonderful the MTR was for getting me around in a clean, easy to use, and safe way. I would love to quit my job and move to HK and work at MTR. But you'd have no use for an old dinosaur like me. I love underground trains and have been on so many. Best one in USA? BART in San Francisco. Best on in Asia? MTR of course. My favourite in Europe? London though truthfully I think Paris Metro is probably better for most people....
