Mobilize treibt nachhaltige Mobilität mit innovativen Lösungen voran

Climate and environmental protection are really close to my heart. Reducing our ecological footprint is an ever more important goal for Volkswagen Group to keep the planet livable.   Besides our own comprehensive activities at manufacturer level, we therefore launched the initiative goTOzero RETAIL that supports our global retail network of around 17,000 dealerships from some 150 countries in improving their environmental performance. One important goal is to reduce the CO2 footprint of the network by at least 30 percent until 2030 compared to 2020. I am particularly pleased about the cross-brand-approach that is supported by Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda Auto, SEAT,SA, CUPRA and AUDI AG.   This week, we reached a major project milestone. The new goTOzero RETAIL sustainability certificate, specifically designed by the Volkswagen Group, was handed over to the first retail partner. Carla Wentzel, President of the Board of Volkswagen Group Poland, congratulated Michał Ignaszak and his team from Kalisz who are the first partner worldwide to receive the certificate. Congratulations from me as well for leading the way and being a sustainability pioneer within our retail network!   The certification process assesses around 70 environmental criteria that retailers can influence directly. Each of these is related to one of goTOzero's four focus areas: climate change, resources, environmental compliance and ecosystems.
