Early Film Cameras: The concept of capturing moving images on film dates back to the late 19th century. Inventors and pioneers like Thomas Edison, the Lumière brothers (Auguste and Louis Lumière), and George Eastman played crucial roles in the development of early film cameras and film stock.
In 1909, the standard film gauge of 35mm was established. This gauge became the industry norm for the majority of motion pictures and remained so for many decades.
Today, most movies are shot, edited, and distributed digitally. Digital projectors have largely replaced traditional film projectors in modern cinemas, allowing for easier distribution and higher-quality presentations.

If you can’t beat AI, join them. I am starting to see the power of AI with these kind of medium, and what creativity it can cultivate.
I understand that there is stigma in the industry around this idea that AI will kill the creatives, but I disagree with that sentiment because it doesn’t matter what you say AI will stay whether you like it or not.
As the quote says “If you can’t beat them, Join them.”
You can harness it’s power rather than fear and afraid it will destroy lives. The idea💡is still here in our hands. AI is just a tool to bring us further ahead!
KM 82 WON BEST SHORT FILM AT ECHO MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL IN MACEDONIA
Indigenous Voices Win Today & They Were Heard.
Here's what the jury has to say:
"Explanation of the winner "KM 82: The Porter Voices of Peru's Camino Inca"
Choosing just one movie out of a total of 30 is really not an easy task. But at the same time, it was a pleasure to watch 30 short films, dedicated to the mountain, to nature and to what we forget less, which is man's primordial relationship with it. From there, the pleasure turned into an honor, when we had to be a jury and choose the best short film at this year's edition of the ECHO Mountain Film Festival.
The jury consisting of Jakov Poposki, Rade Gogoski and I, Lidija Mojsovska, decided on a story, that is, on the film that we believe carries the strongest story and the most socially engaged message. It is the film KM 82: The Porter Voices of Peru's Camino Inca, by director Marinel de Jesus. For us, without wanting to diminish the value of other films, this was a story whose heart and pain truly comes from the mountain. For the people who, fighting for their existence, keep within themselves the priceless value of the mountain and were born there to convey the secret of the Incas to all well-intentioned visitors from all over the world. But at what price and is it worth it, is exactly the message that this inspiring story conveys to us. The same path that leads to the great civilization of the Incas, for the protagonists in this story, is a path to their dehumanization. This film, despite the obstacle of being filmed to the end, manages to convey a socially engaged message. This alarming cry of the descendants of the Incas who try to exist exploited and in almost no conditions can be the voice of all exploited workers in the world."
