Hiring global talent is often seen as a way to save money, but it's so much more than that. If you allow it, global talent can remove major bottlenecks. If you treat it as a more affordable way to handle overflows and basic tasks, that's all it will be. A recent conversation with a brokerage firm's CEO started off with little interest in discussing African talent. "We've got local interns covering those basic needs." Sure, no problem. Then, he mentioned the recurring headache of keeping their compliance documentation and CRM system meticulously updated. Bingo. A value-adding opportunity. 💡 Long story short, he engaged someone from Cape Town with data analysis experience to give him back capacity. This is the power of viewing global talent as problem-solvers rather than just cost-savers. It starts with asking more questions and digging into the granular processes and tasks weighing down your team.

This is easily at the top of any list of the very best jobs in state government, better than any MPA program in understanding how government works, and you’d report to one of the best people I’ve ever worked with.
JLARC is hiring a Research Analyst and a Graduate Analyst Intern. If you or someone you know might be a good fit, please pass these along and encourage them to apply. These are both great opportunities to help make state government more effective, efficient, and accountable. Please let me know if you have questions and thank you! https://lnkd.in/gK7kTB29

Consumer Work Meeting #consumers in their #homes is a #researcher's privilege. It gives us a context to understand the category, competition and the brand. Getting to know the #field partner's team, the #recruiter, #supervisor, #moderators, #translators give us #indepth interview and #minigroup discussion opportunities, beyond the scheduled research. These folks provide a perspective on the district, the state, politics, education, employment and livelihoods, retail. They talk about other categories they have studied and their learnings on the market and consumer. The hotel is yet another place to observe and interact with staff. Post pandemic, much of the #fieldwork moved online. Getting a chance to go into field is an education like no other. And one need not restrict oneself to just recruited consumers. Curiosity, observation, learning new words and building vocabulary in different regional languages, listening, talking and connecting the dots. Lumiere Business Solutions

🖥️Virtual Assistant 📝 | Streamlining Property Management Expert in Tenant Coordination, Customer services management, and Administrative Support 👩💼
MY MIDWAY JOURNEY AS A VA: Enhancing Expertise As I progressed, I realized that standing out as a VA requires moving beyond the basics. While it's essential to be proficient in administrative tasks, many clients look for VAs who can add more value. I specialized in customer service management, which became a niche I enjoyed. Things I learned to boost my expertise: Upskilling – Constant learning is key. I took online courses on platforms like ALX and Skilled Support Solutions to gain certifications in my VA Program, AiCE, and copywriting. These added skills allowed me to provide clients with a broader range of services. Networking – Joining virtual assistant communities online (on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Reddit) helped me gain valuable insights from others in the field. These connections also led to job referrals and collaborations, something vital for career growth. Problem Solving – Clients appreciate VAs who can take initiative and solve problems without needing constant guidance. I learned to anticipate issues, troubleshoot on my own, and offer solutions before being asked. Conclusion The journey of becoming a virtual assistant is a continuous learning process, requiring dedication, adaptability, and a commitment to personal growth. Success as a VA is more than just completing tasks—it's about offering solutions, adding value, and consistently delivering a high level of professionalism. The ability to stand out lies in specializing, honing your skills, and always striving to exceed client expectations. By doing so, you create a reputation that clients can trust and a career that is both fulfilling and financially rewarding. #Virtualassistingjorney #experinceisthebestteacher #VAtomakeprofessionalworkloadeasy Chisom Ikeh Mercy Ayigun Glory Okon

While applying for jobs in the UK, one of the most common questions I get is: "Why are you applying for an entry-level role when you have extensive skills and experience?" My answer is simple: It’s better to start from the bottom and work my way up. This is a new country for me, a new environment, and I believe it’s important to understand the culture and people first. My previous roles have involved a lot of working with people and managing teams, and to succeed in that, you need a deep understanding of the people you’re working with. In a new setting, gaining that understanding takes time, and I’m excited to learn and grow in this new chapter. 🎯 Starting from the ground up is not a step back, but rather a strategic approach to build strong foundations. #NewBeginnings #CareerGrowth #LearningAndGrowing PS: Here’s a photo of me learning about how the aristocrats lived their lives at Dublin castle recently—because learning never stops! 😊
