India's diplomatic approach has some noticeable issues. It aims to be a regional power to support its goal of becoming a global superpower. However, when you look at the map, none of India's neighboring countries are fully supporting it. For example, in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina ignored the popular mandate, leading to her becoming one of the most disliked figures and eventually fleeing the country. This was a significant setback for India. Let's examine what's wrong with Indian diplomacy. It often lacks foresight and is driven by over-nationalistic ambitions. There is a colonial mentality, a weak advocacy for democracy both within and outside the country, and a poor understanding of regional socio-political issues. Economically and militarily, India has yet to establish itself as a dominant regional power that can be seen as a friend rather than a force. India must focus its diplomatic acumen and exigency in this domain. Governing the country has become more trickier and full of challenges and hurdles while dealing with mutual interests in the thick of economic upturn China has volunteered as the biggest economic power. India's most uncompromising adversary is China who is very shrewd in every diplomatic move. We can imagine SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) has almost died down without any gathering of SAARC COUNTRIES for many years. India would have provided an effective leadership but Pakistan's tuning on Kashmir has caused major setback to this important platform. Now, things appear to be reviving differently by China under his stewardship as the above meeting is indicating anything in this regard. China's European outreach through Corridor of BRI (Belt & Road Initiative) is facing pugnacious roadblock from India. India has to be very vigilant and strategically very active, innovative and readywitted to meet every Chinese move.

US-India relations set to expand under Namo 3.0 🇮🇳🇺🇸 The US President @JoeBiden spoke today with Prime Minister of India @narendramodi to congratulate him and the National Democratic Alliance on their historic victory in India's general election. The President also commended the people of India for participating in the largest democratic exercise in human history, with nearly 650 million going to the polls to vote. The two leaders emphasized their commitment to deepening the U.S.-India Comprehensive and Global Strategic Partnership and to advancing their shared vision of a free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. The two leaders also discussed National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan's upcoming travel to New Delhi to engage the new government on shared U.S.-India priorities, including the trusted, strategic technology partnership. The two may also meet on the sidelines of a multilateral summit meeting. Defence, strategic cooperation, tech, defence, economic and space cooperation to be drivers. The US relationship will have a strong coalition support amongst the new NDA allies. Why have India and Pakistan never been able to promote efficient neighborliness? This gap, between the ties, can be bridged only when both the sides express a limpid will to do so ,and take pragmatic steps towards ensuring a fortified union. Not only Pakistan but India has also been showing intransigence to resolving the issues bringing about hindrances in bilateralism. If such issues are resolved , the leading states of the region may transform themselves into an Asian "European Union" as a result of which we won't need to absolutely rely on any imperialist giant. Conversely; we must understand that the people are willing but the stakeholders ain't. This is an intricacical phenomenon. Our governments, monarchs , lords ,etc, have been making us at odds with each other for centuries. We have to raise voices to put an end to this traditionalism.

#India is on the cusp of being the fifth largest #economy. It is just tantalizingly short of taking over Japan's economy and is slated to cross GDP of Germany by decade end. India's clout politically and diplomatically has increased many folds. Being the largest populated country that also has the largest youth population, India has the additional responsibility to shape the world order. Glad to share the publication of my paper titled - 'Post-Independence Threats to India's National Unity'. ABSTRACT The struggle for independence from foreign rule does not come short and easy for India. It took the sacrifice of many nationalists, freedom fighters, and resources. Independence came with a huge cost of partition for India when the subcontinent was divided into three parts – India, West, and East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). Besides these post-independence incidents which caused trauma to the Indian people and the new government, the country also witnessed a tremendous struggle of diplomacy. It forced action at several places to maintain the unity and sovereignty of the country as many princely states within the geographical boundaries of the newly formed Indian dominion either wanted to stay independent or join Pakistan. This paper discusses some of these complicated and grim incidents, how the Indian leaders, with their diplomacy and tact, handled such situations and made the merger of most of these states possible, and the challenges posed to national integrity by some separatist movements in some Indian states in the current scenario. #india #partitionofindia #nationalunity

#India vehemently opposes #China's recent road construction in the #ShaksgamValley, an area that has historically belonged to India and is a part of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir The Ministry of External Affairs, India (MEA) rejected the 1963 China-Pakistan Boundary Agreement, asserting it facilitated the illegal transfer of 5,180 sq km of Indian territory to China. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasises India's refusal to accept alterations to ground realities, asserting its sovereign right to safeguard its interests. India reaffirms its unwavering stand against China's occupation of 38,000 sq km in Ladakh, defending its territorial integrity. China's assertive territorial ambitions extend beyond its borders, evident in encroachments in the #SouthChinaSea, the #Philippines, #Vietnam, and India's mountainous borders. As tensions rise over territorial disputes, India's resolute stance against China's actions sheds light on  the critical need for diplomatic dialogue and international cooperation. The pattern of China's expansionist agenda poses a threat not only to India but to regional stability as a whole.
