As we get closer to the 4th of July, here are a few tips... Wishing everyone a happy and safe 4th of July!

Our collective experiences today can unite us as a global community. Embracing our differences and finding common ground in our shared humanity is what brings understanding, peace, and yes, things like equality of opportunities. Don't forget what real hardships are like. It’s important to recognize the difference between the challenges faced by those who struggle to meet basic needs and the inconveniences experienced by those with privilege. While everyone faces difficulties, it’s crucial to maintain empathy and perspective when discussing hardships. Don't covet your neighbors life and things. Appreciate your journey, hardship and rewards it brings. That mix is unique to you and we can learn from you. The real hardships are basic and things we can all experience. Basic needs are far from reach for many. Things like food, shelter, safety are dreams to some of our neighbors. Don't put your inconvenience and discomfort at the level of the real hardships that people and animals go through. If you can do that, I promise you the world will become better for everyone. This didn't end up as the positive message I envisioned but to whoever reads these, the root of what I want to say is still there. Finally, your job, career or organization that you work for isn't who you are. Drop your titles, positions in a company and whatever is left is the stuff that makes a better world. That's the way it was intended.

It's been a year of many lessons for me. Here are 3: (I'll write as transparent as I can about them.) 1. Never stop evolving and changing your business I had a period where I was very comfortable (end of 2022/beginning of 2023) because things were going very good for us. I should have pushed for new initiatives at that point. 2. Learn to delegate and trust your team Micromanaging is the curse of many very capable people, and the weight pulling them down. 3. Cash flow is king Like many in the IT/design industry, we've had a bumpy ride this year. Never take your eye off the ball and prioritise financial safety. Here's to 2023, and may 2024 be a good one!
