Entertainment executive experienced in strategic content partnerships, licensing, research and analysis with a keen ability to find resolutions and results in time of chaos.
When I was first trained on the weekly reports that are sent to class counsel I was told I just gather the data and send it to the project lead. As the company restructured and we were placed on teams, I was never told I should notify the project lead if I notice changes in numbers.
During my annual review the only legitimate complaint was that there was an incorrect number on a weekly report I prepared for class counsel, I had forgotten to take out some test numbers prior to sending the report to get QC’d. Lara Jarjoura QC’d my work before it was sent to counsel.
During my annual review she had the audacity to tell me that the number had increased so drastically that it was significant to the point I should have noticed the change and pointed it out.
If my performance failed to meet expectations for this mistake, I would imagine the performance of the person who QC’d the numbers, failed to notice the large discrepancy, then submitted it to counsel probably isn’t meeting expectations either.
Lara was one of the VPs I turned to as I was getting retaliated against, her advice was for me to stay positive. To that extent, I’ll return the advice, just stay positive.

One week ago today I had the honor of hearing four amazing stories from four of the 14 women who were recognized for their leadership both in business and in the community. Want to learn more? Check out this issue of InBusinessPHX magazine: https://lnkd.in/g3u3CtEx
Marcy Uhrig told me to document discrepancies from other coworkers so we could get to the bottom of “issues”, then literally told me she had no interest in seeing any of my documentation.
Marcy placed me on final notice for the same things she allowed other coworkers to do. I was told it would be a two week make it or break it, that at the end of two weeks I will have succeeded or we will part ways.
A month later I only get positive reviews, including from Marcy herself. Marcy explained that because I did well, we would go ahead and leave me on final notice.
The only mistake that was actually on me was a case where I missed some test numbers that should have been excluded from the results; however, this is part of why everything gets QC’d before being submitted to counsel. Marcy and the VP (Lara) who QC’d before submitting it to counsel used this as an opportunity to belittle and as the only example of why I did not receive a raise, and why it was appropriate to have me on final notice for months.
It doesn’t surprise me that JND thinks someone like Marcy, who pits her own teammates against each other, is an example of a leader.
Thank you Marcy for the liability you helped create, it’s been useful.
