Muttville rescues at least 80 senior dogs a month. In an emergency like last year’s holiday crisis, we have been able to stretch to as many as 100 in 10 days.

Truth: Many breeds, including popular ones, end up in shelters. If you're set on a specific breed, check with shelters and breed-specific rescue organizations. You might be surprised at what you find!

In Pakistan, one must share the same sect to truly understand the pain experienced by others. Allah has endowed the people of #Parachinar (us) with exceptional patience (Sabr); otherwise, such suffering would be unbearable. This is a sentiment that can only be fully grasped by those who have lived through it. Many on LinkedIn, however, tend to focus on professional networking and engage with content related to popular figures or humorous posts, neglecting the very real and painful experiences of those undergoing hardship.
Our society will never teach new generation our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), compassion and kindness. they only take how to smell good, how to cut nails but don't how Prophet PBUH was with others, Instead, molvis can misuse the Quran to further their own agendas, but failing to convey its true message. The Quran clearly states that "killing one person unjustly is akin to killing all of humanity, and individuals will be held accountable for such actions".
The situation in our region has been exacerbated by the actions of both religious leaders (molvis) and establishment. Religious leaders (molvi) have perpetuated sectarian divisions, while political entities have supported these divisions for their own gain. Molvis teached them that doing war in Parachinar is like Jihad in #Palestine, If you want to go to Jihad come to Parachinar (Their blood is halal).
Recently, there have been violent clashes between Sunnis and Shias in Parachinar over land disputes (Later changed to Sectarian as usual). This conflict has escalated, with various militant groups, including the Taliban from Afghanistan, FC & Army were involved, Takfiris and TTP from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, joining the attacks on our villages. The situation has led to over 45 martyrs and around 200 injuries. The injured cannot be transported to Peshawar or other cities due to the danger posed by local Sunni extremists, who are driven by a radical ideology.

The Parachinar incidents, a series of devastating attacks, left scores dead and injured, yet the response was muted. In contrast, a recent incident in Sindh, where a farmer's camel was brutally injured, sparked widespread outrage and empathy.
Sindh incident saw people from all walks of life come together to help the farmer and his camel, raising funds and offering support. This outpouring of humanity is a stark contrast to the relative indifference towards the Parachinar victims.
This disparity raises important questions:
- Why do we prioritize animal welfare over human life?
- Why do some tragedies evoke more empathy than others?
The answer lies in our collective humanity. We must recognize that every life, human or animal, deserves compassion and kindness. Let us learn from the Sindh incident and extend the same empathy towards human suffering, regardless of creed, color, or religion."

Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a not-for-profit organization of animal lovers from Saratoga and surrounding counties who are dedicated to assisting animals whose owners have passed away or can no longer keep them. Some of the pets are surrendered directly to H.O.P.E. but others come from various local rescues or shelters which are at capacity. Many are senior dogs and cats or have special needs. H.O.P.E. gives these homeless pets a second chance for a wonderful life; to be part of a family, to be a therapy pet or just to be someone’s best friend. The goal of H.O.P.E. is to find suitable adopters who will provide these pets with a lifelong commitment of love and care.
