We're sharing a glimpse of our #MWC24 journey in the Nokia booth, where we celebrated our #5G collaboration alongside NOKIA and Digi International! 🌐 A demo to remember: We showed a live demo with our 5G RedCap module powering a DIGI International router, all seamlessly integrated with NOKIA's RedCap RAN and core network. 🎥Connecting worlds: The demo shows a surveillance camera connected to a DIGI router housing our RedCap 5G module. I just got off the stage at GSMA Mobile World Congress in Las Vegas where I spoke about T-Mobile's journey from challenger to champion.   10 years ago, we had a 3G network when everyone else had moved to 4G. We saw the 5G wave coming and rode it to become the most awarded 5G network in the world.   We swept the latest reports from Ookla and Opensignal to be crowned the leader in overall network performance, the most consistent network, and the world's most available 5G network.   Our technology leadership empowers us to develop solutions with organizations of all sizes. From sports and entertainment to transportation to health care to retail, we are innovating with our customers to help them solve their toughest problems.   A few weeks ago, we announced T-Priority, the world's first network slice for first responders. Today, we announced 5G On Demand, a rapidly deployable, portable 5G network. In as little as 48 hours, enterprises can achieve fiber-like speeds at a lower cost than custom-built private networks.   And WE WON'T STOP building on our lead and staying true to our mission of being the best in the world at connecting customers to their world.

How can the US take 5G to the next level to sustain its competitive edge? 🤔 The rollout of 5G has transformed the telecom landscape. As the focus shifts to leveraging advanced capabilities to address new business cases, I’m proud to see how Ericsson is actively contributing to this transformation through strategic investments. 👏 In addition to USD 14 billion deal with AT&T to build an open and programmable network, Ericsson also partnered with Verizon to develop new network APIs and provide developers with access to network services and capabilities globally. 🤝 I's  great to see that T-Mobile is also helping the developer community enhance the performance of video calling applications through their new 5G network slicing beta. 💻 Not to mention the USD 150 million investment in a cutting-edge 5G smart factory in Lewisville, Texas, which demonstrates Ericsson's dedication to American manufacturing. 🏭 I’m excited to follow the discussions around the US’ 5G leadership at the upcoming MWC Las Vegas 2024. 🗓️ Until then, I recommend reading a new blog from Yossi Cohen, President & Head of Ericsson North America, to delve deeper into Ericsson’s contribution to the connected future in the US. From their strides in Open RAN to collaborations with industry giants like Ericsson and Nokia, Intel's influence is undeniable. But what sets apart those leveraging Intel for RAN is their commitment to future-proofing through Open RAN support. 🔹 Private Wireless and Cellular Branch Routers 🔹 The focus on Private 5G solutions and cellular branch routers was palpable. With companies like Cradlepoint (now part of Ericsson) leading the charge, the market is poised for significant growth. T-Mobile US's recent announcement further underscores the increasing popularity of these services. 🔹 Satellite-Based Mobile Communications 🔹 This year, satellite-based mobile communications took center stage. From innovative technologies showcased at the event to successful service demonstrations by companies like AST Space Mobile, the possibilities are endless. Despite initial skepticism, direct-to-satellite communications are proving to be a game-changer. Exciting times lie ahead as these technologies continue to evolve and reshape the telecommunications landscape.
