🚨 Tomorrow, the Texas Water Development Board will consider approving the State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2025 Clean Water State Revolving Fund (#CWSRF) Intended Use Plan (#IUP) covering general activities, and the SFY 2025 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (#DWSRF) Intended Use Plan covering Lead Service Line Replacement (#LSLR) activities. 🚨 During the public comment period, EPIC submitted comments on these IUPs - in addition to the DWSRF general activities IUP, which will be considered for adoption at a later board meeting. In light of my previous post discussing GA's ASCE report card, I'd love to share that at least one of the needs mentioned: "areas beyond the coast face changing storm patterns that will need to be addressed in design standards" can be addressed with technology, such as OptiRTC's #CMAC ( Continuous Monitoring and Adaptive Controls). Strikes us at Tetra Tech Europe that amending footnote 8 to paragraph 11 of the NPPF would make life ALOT simpler for landowners, developers and LPA's with an interest in safeguarded land. Why not make it crystal clear that a safeguarded land designation is a 'policy for the supply of land' to speed up planning applications and avoid appeals. The NW has an abundance of safeguarded land in sustainable locations that seems to have been leapfrogged by grey belt, that with it's undeniable viability challenges, could deliver very little by way of solving the housing crisis.
