Our CRO, Dr. Jóna Marín Ólafsdóttir, will be presenting a poster at ACRM 2024 in collaboration with the University of Miami. The poster, titled:"Movement Trajectory Segmentation Improves the Butterfly Test’s Classification Accuracy for Impaired Sensorimotor Control in Patients with Neck Pain," presents 2 key findings: 1. The Butterfly Test demonstrated excellent classification accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity for patients with heterogeneous neck pain-related conditions. 2. Segmenting movement trajectory data into distinct movement profiles enhanced the classification performance of the Butterfly Test. 📆 Friday, November 1, 2024 🕐 3:45 PM - 4:00 PM 📍ACRM 2024, Station 10, Posterland/Trinity Poster, Exhibit Hall Region: Tower Lobby Level If you’re attending ACRM 2024, don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about this research and how it could advance clinical care for neck pain. I'm really excited about this webinar. Not only is it on an important topic scientifically and ethically, but there's a lot of hype and bombastic claims about brain-machine interfaces that need to be tempered. Sign up below! #neurology #bioengineering
The global landscape for clinical trials on implanted brain-computer interfaces is dynamic, changing, and the focus of intense interest. However, information on clinical trial progress of implanted brain-computer interfaces remains scarce. Join our webinar with field leaders Jose L Contreras-Vidal, Ph.D. and Mariska van Steensel to talk about the state of clinical trials of implantable brain-computer interfaces. We invite you to hear their insights, ask questions, and contribute to this timely discussion. Register here: https://lnkd.in/eRQSR_uk

Thankful for the opportunity to present with Tufts Medical Center at ICCAI 2024. With significant adverse outcomes of interventions like TAVR (10% to 20% mortality at 1 year), enhanced long term risk stratification might be useful, especially in managing elderly & frail populations, optimizing outcomes and reducing waste. The conference is hosted by the Society for Complex Acute Illness. The word “complex” here is key to our narrative, as acute illness involves multiorgan dysregulation that can be seen in loss of signal complexity at multiple time scales associated with the breakdown of nonlinear regulatory feedback loops. Our results show that selected beat scales may optimize measurement of the change in information content embedded in BP waveforms (via entropy metrics) showing different cardiac contractile function and vascular systemic elastance, which variables may directly affect outcomes. Special Thanks to Ebenezer Tolman, Ethan Brovman, Sage Tuchsen, Emery Amtmann and Timothy Ruchti
