KISS - Keep it simple (stupid!) At Gradian, our final and perhaps most impactful charter point is about fostering a culture of support and collaboration. Point 10 of our charter supports a fundamental belief: "We strive to make other people's jobs as easy as possible." Internally, this means fostering a culture of support and collaboration. We break down silos, communicate clearly, and proactively seek ways to lighten the load for our teammates. Whether it's through sharing knowledge, streamlining processes, or simply lending a helping hand, we believe that when we make things easier for each other, we all succeed together. Externally, our clients experience this commitment through every interaction. We simplify complex problems, anticipate needs, and deliver solutions that are not just effective, but also make their lives easier. Our goal is to empower our clients, allowing them to focus on what they do best, without the friction from unnecessary hurdles. At Gradian, it’s not just about working hard—it's about working smart and making every interaction a little bit easier, for everyone involved. Because when we take the effort out of the equation, we create room for productivity and true partnership. Here's to making work easier, every single day! #GradianCharter #WorkSmarter #Teamwork #ClientSuccess #GradianValues #TeamGradian #KISS

Have a bit of fun at work! I’ve started working with a new team this year. It's the highlight of my week. We are united by the work we’re here to do to help our client deliver their mega project by building great relationships. We are a team of consultants and people are our business. So we practice what we preach. We know we will deliver great results for our client if we know each other, understand each other and trust each other. So we start every team meeting posing a question to help us get to know more about each other. It’s silly. It’s fun. It takes 15 minutes. Then we get down to business. This is what I notice when we do it -people are smiling, laughing, visibly relaxed. People instantly connect and find things in common. Because we have made work more human, we are more respectful of each other when it comes to differences in the work. Just as companies invest in training and CPD, teams need to invest time in each other to get better results. What do you with your team to build these connections? Note: Our last question was “which animal best represents you and why”. Give it a try! Simon Moran, Sarah Bolas, Rowan Gray, Lisa Jelly, Karen Galley, Jim Abbatt, Jessica Welch, Tom Heywood

As working professionals at Mott MacDonald in Dublin, our weekly whiteboard meetings serve a crucial purpose. Chaired by our Early Career Professional (ECP) community, these meetings facilitate skills development and a sense of ownership. They also provide a structured platform for team members to talk openly and share important updates. They are integral to our health and safety culture! 🥇 When we gather, magic happens. Brainstorming ideas, solving problems collectively, and collaborating—these are not only building blocks for great teamwork, they strengthen our collaborative spirit and create a synergy that propels us forward. 🤝 Our weekly meetings ensure everyone is on the same page, aligned with goals, and aware of key initiatives. Complex issues, and project updates benefit from face-to-face discussions. Regular interactions boost morale and motivation. Acknowledging achievements, celebrating wins, and addressing challenges—all within the context of our whiteboards—create a positive work environment. Thank you to our ECP community for keeping our team engaged and inspired! 🙌 #mottmac #collaboration #communication

Since Texas State Technical College started using Workzone in 2014, they’ve experienced a nearly 70% increase in projects completed each year, now managing over 4,000 annually. This kind of growth isn’t just about numbers—it’s about real impact. By tracking resources and justifying their operational budget, TSTC is driving efficiency and supporting the future of education. At Workzone, we’re inspired by stories like this as we work toward our bold vision of seeing one project completed every second. It’s not just about faster work—it’s about empowering organizations like TSTC to achieve mission-critical results that benefit communities. Curious how they did it? Check out the full story in the comments.

Three years ago, Joshua O'Riordan wrote about #creativeteams and the most poignant lessons that have stuck with us at Brightec. Including: ⚖ Finding the middle ground between being utterly passionate and utterly considerate; knowing the right time to learn from others and when to put forward your case. 🌱 Knowing where inspiration comes from to ensure we can deliver new solutions and products for our clients. 😀 Nurturing a culture that encourages security, mutual respect and understanding so that critique can be given, and received well to create great results together. https://lnkd.in/d23YKe2J Here's a recent example of how this looks in our (now much bigger) team... 🤓 Back in June, we had 2 team away days. The first day was led by the brilliant Strengths House, guiding us to look at, review, discuss and learn more about #strengthsfinders and how we work as individuals and as a team. The second day was a more subtle team building day spent lighting fires, building shelters, bbq'ing and participating in 'woodland work'🌳 🌻 Continuing the conversations from that Strengths Day, Nick Holcombe and Bianca have been meeting each week to further their understanding of their personal strengths. This has led them to see where our strengths lie as a team, which strengths we are collectively lower in, and, thus, where we can grow. 👀 Specifically, Nick and Bianca noticed where the 'gap' in strengths might not be supporting our current format of Research and Development days. So they have created a survey for the team to complete, checking their suspicions, gathering ideas and getting a bigger picture of what is and isn't working. 💪 They weren't afraid to say, 'We think we can be doing this better.' I'm really excited to see what comes out of this investigation of our Research and Development Days 🌈

Week 21 (of 52) - May 2024 It was a shortened work week due to our planned two-day team meeting at Crowcon headquarters. However, the role of an engineer extends beyond fieldwork - meetings are equally crucial for gathering information and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Our productive discussions spanned strategy, training, and employee well-being. While work sharing may seem routine, these gatherings provide an invaluable forum to learn from each other's expertise. During the meeting at Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd. , we learned valuable lessons and set goals for the time ahead. I'm happy to be part of such a great team that prioritizes open dialogue and continuous improvement. Quality time invested in collaborative planning is key to our skilled engineering team's success. The best service team I've been part of so far👏

September marks my 3rd month at Tide, and what truly stands out are the values. It's not just a statement on the wall or a corporate checkbox – it's lived and breathed here, by everyone that I could know of during this tenure. What struck me from day one was the openness across the board. You can reach out to anyone, at any level, and they're willing to help, truly go that extra mile to make things happen. This isn’t a coincidence – it’s part of who we are as a global organisation, where everyone comes together, across borders, to make Tide a workplace that feels right, no matter where you are in the world. But here's the kicker – it's not an endless list of values you can’t recall or connect with. It’s a powerful set of just 3. Simple, self-explanatory, yet incredibly impactful. And that’s what makes it special. These values are understood by all, embraced by all, and they guide us in everything we do. 3 months in, and I know this is the kind of place that sets people up to thrive. Your next exciting move might be right here -> https://www.tide.co/ P.S : My personal favourite is #OneTeam :) #TideCulture #GlobalTeam #ValuesInAction #MeaningfulWork

After an incredible journey, this week marks my last working days at O&L. It’s a bittersweet moment as I reflect on the growth, experiences, and challenges that have shaped me both personally and professionally. I am beyond grateful for the opportunities O&L has provided me, and I have had the privilege of working alongside some truly exceptional individuals. The lessons learned and relationships built will always stay with me. While saying goodbye is never easy, I’m excited about the new journey that lies ahead. Here’s to embracing change, new challenges, and the next chapter of growth! #Gratitude #NewBeginnings #CareerJourney #GrowthMindset
