Watch the video tour of the P.A.C.K. facility! Recently, we had an incredible PACK the Van event at the Isle of Hope, where we got an exclusive tour of the P.A.C.K. warehouse and distribution center, guided by Malena Stone herself! The organization and beauty she has infused into this space are truly breathtaking. For those who appreciate an impeccably organized environment (yes, fellow OCD friends, I'm talking to you!), this place is a dream. The bag-packing area operates with unparalleled efficiency – a model of streamlined operations crucial for packing over 4,300 weekly bags for kids. With 1 in 3 children in Southeast Georgia facing food insecurity, the impact of this efficiency cannot be overstated. Malena explained there are another 2000 kids on the waiting list for these food bags! But there's more to the warehouse than just efficiency; the shop area, thoughtfully designed by Malena, creates an experience akin to shopping in a high-end store for the kids. This beautiful, clean, and welcoming space is where children can select clothes and supplies that would otherwise be unaffordable for them. Additionally, it's here that 'emergency bags' are prepared for kids in urgent need, often with nothing but the clothes on their backs. These emergency bags, akin to overnight bags, are equipped with a change of clothes and essential items to support the children for a day or two. Words can not do justice to how impressive this place is – you have to see it for yourself. Check out our video for a full tour, and prepare to be amazed! In light of recent budget cuts, they desperately need the support!! (our ingenious politicians have cut 70% of their budget) P.A.C.K. needs our support more than ever to continue their vital work. Every donation makes a difference in combating child hunger in our community. Click the link below to donate NOW, and help us keep making a positive impact! Statistically 1 in 5 children in these United States experience hunger daily and do not know where their next meal will come from. As we journey toward Fall and the major Holiday Seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we need your help to keep our shelves overflowing with food and our freezers & refrigerators filled month to month. There are families, children, you may never meet hoping that you will assist us in helping them through this coming holiday season. When the Leaders were out and about, the curious crowds gathered and were hungry. The Leaders thought it was a good to just send the crowds away to find food they couldn’t afford. But then wisdom spoke and said …“#YouFeedThem. Support our initiatives, donate today. Consider setting up recurring donations. Will you help?? #GiveHopeAndShareKindness #ReducingNeedsOneHungrySoulAtATime #EconomicInsecurity #FoodInsecurity #HolidayAssistanceNeeded #DonateToday #Donate2024 #HostAFoodDrive #YFTMFPInitiatives #MissionalFoodPantry

According to Forbes, 78% of American families are living paycheck to paycheck. Many families don't have the excess funds to provide frequent luxuries that we may take for granted, things like new clothes for their children as they grow, new bedding for different seasons, quality hygiene products, and even adequate food supply. That's why we feel that every gift counts. Because what may seem small to us can mean a lot to a family in need. Visit childrensfund.org/support to make a donation towards our Support programs, like the Emergency Needs Program. #emergencyneeds #everygiftcounts #support #childrensfund #sanbernardinocounty

In January we were able to help and support 1,050 individuals who came to use our free food section to support their own families, and over the course of the last 12 months we have been able to give away the equivalent of 168,968 meals worth of food. These numbers show us 3 things; 1) There is still a huge need within our City to support the most financially vulnerable. 2) The cost of living crisis is showing no signs of slowing, putting more families in a vulnerable position. 3) By utilising the free food we give away, we are able to keep families from requiring an emergency food parcel to survive. However, we cannot do this alone, your support is vital now more than ever and there a few ways you can help us in our quest to keep families from drowning. 1) Have a food donation/drop off point in your place of work. 2) Pleadge a small amount as a standing order to us (could be as little as £1). 3) Have your place of work use their CSR to support our work and set up a corporate standing order. 4) Just continue to share, comment, and like our posts so we can continue to reach out to those that need us and may not know we exist. We need you in the same way our community needs us.

To most of us, a bed is something that we cozy into each night... for the families that we are serving, this is something that they cannot even imagine, that they would be able to get off the floor and into a bed. Beds are one of the most critical items we provide, bringing comfort, security, and dignity to families emerging from crisis. Right now, we have a backlog of families who desperately need beds—a place for their children to sleep safely and comfortably. If you were to visit our warehouse today, you’d see rows of beds, but here’s the reality: every single one of them is already spoken for. We're grateful for the generous donations we receive, but the need far outweighs what we currently have. For every one bed we give, we get a request for 3 more... and we’re struggling to meet that demand. 🌟 Why are we sharing this with you? 🌟 Every dollar you donate goes directly to helping us fill in the gaps—ensuring that when we’re short on key items, we can purchase them to meet a family’s immediate needs. ➖Some weeks, we may have plenty of mattresses but no bed frames. ➖Other weeks, we may have an abundance of sofas but not enough dressers. ➖One week, we could have 10 dining tables but zero chairs to go with them. Your donation allows us to cover the missing pieces and ensure that each home is fully furnished, bringing stability and comfort to families in need. Would you consider donating today and help get kids off the floor? ➡️https://lnkd.in/gw88qUv9 #fullyfurnishedministries #getkidsoffthefloor #impact #theneedisgreat #beds #donations

Food donations are lowest in summer months, just when families need additional food to feed children who are home on summer break. Without the schools’ free or reduced-cost breakfasts and lunches, our families struggle more in summer months to provide full, nutritious meals for their children. Last month, we were short over 1,000 items for our June distribution. As we prepare for July and August distributions, we anticipate even larger collection shortages. While our donations are at their lowest, the need in our community is at its highest. Currently, over 2,500 individuals (663 families) in Chapel Hill and Carrboro rely on our monthly Food for Families distributions, including 1,450 children. Can you help us fill the gap in donations with a financial gift? 30 can help us bridge the gap for 2 families. $60 will ensure full bags for 4 families. $100 means 7 families will receive all food categories for every summer food distribution. Donate at https://lnkd.in/gMnikK-e.

You can now donate to ELFHCC in the #OneDay fundraiser! Join us in making a difference and supporting our community. Every contribution counts! SHARE if you are participating to spread the word. 🔗 Link to participate: https://lnkd.in/edqYwbHz 🗓 Donations are accepted until August 6 #Fundraiser #SupportCommunity #DonateNow #Pittsburgh About #oneday: Organized by The Pittsburgh Foundation. The #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert helps our entire community support over 200+ nonprofits in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties that serve vulnerable populations. Far too many people — especially those who are Black, indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) — are unable to meet their basic needs due to limited access to resources and opportunities that would help them thrive. For example, one-in-five Pittsburghers is food insecure, and shortages of affordable housing and child care contribute to housing and family instability. When individuals and families can meet their basic needs, they experience less stress and anxiety, which supports overall well-being, provides stability and empowers them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Your donations will benefit organizations and nonprofits supplying basic needs services. You will help people facing challenges with child care, mental and physical health care, job insecurity, food insecurity, eviction and threats to housing.
